Larry Summers jumps to center of AI stage With OpenAI board seat
OpenAI announced the return of Sam Altman, its ousted chief executive officer, along with a revamped board that included one name not often associated with Silicon Valley: Larry Summers. That beer belly can cost you, your grey cells! New study says stomach fat is linked to Alzheimer’s
According to a new study, being obese can not just create heart problems but also accelerate brain ageing. The study conducted by a team of neurologists based in the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease Of Florida has claimed that chronic inflammation caused by belly fats in 30s and 40s may cause Alzheimer’s later in life. In an interview with CNN Health, Dr Richard Isaacson, the preventive neurologist at the Institute explained that the more bloated your belly gets, the smaller your brain becomes! “We’ve known for a while that as the belly size gets larger, the memory centers in the brain get smaller,” he told the publication. The team utilised brain imaging to discern how inflammation caused by visceral belly fat causes brain dysfunction. The study was published in theJournal of Aging and Disease in August.
