Stock market today: Birlasoft shares are one of the multibagger stocks that Indian stock market has delivered in 2023. In year-to-date (YTD) time, this IT stock has risen from around ₹297.50 to ₹650 apiece levels, delivering around 120 per cent return to its positional investors. However, it seems that Birlasoft stock has still some steam left.

European shares gained on Wednesday on rising bets of a peak in global interest rates, led by miners riding on higher metal prices, while Germany's benchmark DAX scaled a fresh all-time high. Nifty recorded a new all-time high daily in December, the 50-stock index was still not among the top-performing global indices in November, falling behind benchmark indices in developed markets viz US, UK, Japan, France, Switzerland and Germany. Among the emerging markets, Nifty was behind Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, and South Africa while remaining ahead of China. Nifty rose 5.5% in November, witnessing a turnaround after hitting a low of 18,989.15 on November 1, led by gains in auto, healthcare, and realty stocks.

Hindustan Zinc surged over 2% to Rs 331.8 in Wednesday's trade on BSE after the company announced a second interim dividend of Rs 6 per share for the current financial year. The dividend outgo amounts to about Rs 2,535.19 crore.

Hindustan Zinc dividend 2023: Vedanta subsidiary company Hindustan Zinc Limited has declared ₹6 per share interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24. The board of directors of the metal company approved this 300 per cent interim dividend proposal after passing a resolution in its meeting on Wednesday. The company has already fixed dividend record date on 14th December 2023.

ICICI Securities. The upbeat domestic GDP growth with the rising capex cycle, the cyclical factors are expected to accelerate next year, which would drive the markets higher. “We expect favourable cyclical factors to accelerate in CY24 driven by capex-cycle firing on all cylinders (reflected in Q2FY24 GDP print), thereby triggering the corporate re-leveraging cycle," ICICI Securities said in a report.

Indian markets also saw a strong rally in November, rising 5.5 percent after a weak October following strong global cues as the risk of worst-case scenarios reduced both internationally and in India.

MCX February gold futures were trading at Rs 62,245 at the opening time, up Rs 60 or 0.10% from Tuesday's closing price. Meanwhile, the March Silver futures were trading at Rs 75,403 per kg, higher by Rs 124 or 0.60%.

Federation of Automobiles Dealers Associations (FADA) on Wednesday said that the auto sales in November grew by 18 per cent annually with a historic sale of 28.54 vehicles, surpassing March 2020 record of 25.69 vehicles. The apex body also said that the record sales come amid the industry's transition to BS-6 from BS-4 emission norms.
