Kotak Mahindra Bank on Saturday said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Ashok Vaswani as the bank's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) for a period of three years. Vaswani, who has worked with Barclays in the recent past, will succeed Uday Kotak who quit as MD of the bank effective September 1. At present, Vaswani is President of Pagaya Technologies Ltd — a US-Israeli AI Fintech.

IDBI Bank has recorded a net profit of ₹1,323.3 crore in the second quarter of fiscal year 2023-24 (Q2FY24), which is 59.8 percent higher as compared to a profit of ₹828.1 crore reported in the year-ago period, as per the unaudited standalone financial results declared by the public sector lender on October 21. Quarter-on-quarter basis, the net profit was up 8 percent, as it stood at ₹1,224.2 crore in Q1FY24. The bank's net interest income (NII) soared by 12 percent to ₹3,066.5 crore from ₹2,738.1 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

RBL Bank Q2 results: RBL Bank released their July-September quarter results on Saturday and reported a 46% year-on-year jump in their net profits which jumped to ₹294 crore during Q2FY24 from ₹202 crore during the same quarter last fiscal. The net interest income (NII) of the RBL Bank grew 26% YoY to ₹1,475 crore while the revenue of the bank witnessed a YoY jump of 24% to ₹2,179 crore. Sequentially, the net profit of the bank grew 2% as it was ₹288 crore during Q1FY24, while the revenue of the RBL Bank jumped 3% QoQ as it was ₹2,108 crore during the quarter ending June 2023.
