fourth Republican presidential debate takes place next Wednesday at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, only four aspirants will be on the stage, the smallest field yet to take the stage during the GOP primary campaign. The Republican National Committee announced Monday evening that former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Former Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy are the four who met the qualifications. The conditions set by the RNC include at least 6% support in two national polls or 6% in one national poll as well as two polls from four of the early-voting states — Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. The candidates should also have the support of a minimum of 80,000 unique donors, with at least 200 from 20 states or territories.

Joe Biden is the only President in the history of US to be over 80 while in office. The incumbent chief executive, who recently celebrated his 81st birthday, was also the oldest American president when he took the top job at the age of 78. His predecessor Donald Trump previously held the record for the country's oldest President. Biden's age has become a cause of concern as the country gears up for election next year.
