BENGALURU : Infosys Ltd and Wipro Ltd have each seen about two dozen executives at the rank of senior vice-president (SVP) and above leave under the tenures of chief executives Salil Parekh and Thierry Delaporte, respectively, underscoring the challenge of retaining senior leaders at the Bengaluru-based IT twins. Since Parekh took over as Infosys boss in January 2018, 22 executives at the rank of SVP and above have left, according to a review of the annual reports and press releases by Mint.

Adani Green executes 1799 MW solar power PPA with SECI
Adani Green Energy Ltd. has executed a power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India to supply 1,799 MW of solar power, the company said in an exchange filing on Monday. With this, Adani Green has completed the power offtake tie-up for the entire 8,000 MW manufacturing-linked solar tender it was awarded in June 2020. «AGEL has progressed on the commitments of the SECI manufacturing-linked solar PV tender, including setting up 2 GW of PV cell and module manufacturing facilities,» the company said adding that AGEL has already commissioned a solar PV cell and module manufacturing plant with a capacity of 2 GW per annum through its associate company Mundra Solar Energy Ltd (MSEL). The plant is located at Mundra, Gujarat.

England have appointed former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard as an assistant coach for the Twenty20 World Cup next year, the country's cricket board (ECB) announced on Sunday. Pollard helped the West Indies win the World Cup in 2012 while the 36-year-old, who made a name for himself as a T20 specialist, won five Indian Premier League titles with the Mumbai Indians between 2013 and 2020. The 2024 World Cup will be held in the West Indies and the United States in June. «Pollard will join the England men's team specifically for the T20 World Cup as an assistant coach and to provide expertise of local conditions,» the ECB said in a statement. «Pollard was a part of West Indies' 2012 men's T20 World Cup success and has vast experience in the format having played more than 600 matches.» England are the defending champions having won their second T20 World Cup title in 2022 in Australia.
