Nicki Minaj: This Is What Happened To Rapper's Marriage After Birth of Son
Nicki Minaj, 40, in a recent interview with Vogue, opened up about the challenges and changes in her marriage with Kenneth Petty, 45, following the birth of their son three years ago. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, faced the inevitable trials that parenthood brings. Minaj shared candidly about the difficulties they encountered, stating, «I'm not going to lie, things got testy between us.» However, the rapper expressed confidence in their ability to overcome challenges due to their shared history. She reflected on the common anxiety that accompanies parenthood, emphasizing that there's no such thing as complete confidence in going through the complexities of being a parent. The couple welcomed their son in September 2020, but Nicki Minaj has kept his name private, referring to him as «Papa Bear» on social media. While discussing motherhood, Minaj delved into her expectations versus the reality of being a mother. She admitted to initially believing that once she had a family, her desire to make music would diminish. Minaj shared her preconceived notions, saying, «I would always tell people, ‘Watch, when I have a child I’m going to cook every meal for him and bake cookies every day.'» However, the reality of motherhood differed from Minaj's expectations, leading her to recognize that her passion for making music persisted. The rapper recounted meeting a mom with a seemingly perfect home, describing her as the «world’s best homemaker.» Despite her apparent success, the woman experienced guilt both as a homemaker and a working mom. This encounter prompted Minaj to embrace her true calling and continue making music, she expressed.

Apple risks losing $14 billion in tax at top EU court
Apple, an adviser to Europe's top court on Thursday said an European Union (EU) tribunal made legal errors when it ruled in favour of the iPhone maker over a $14 billion tax order. The adviser also said the case should be reviewed again. In 2016, the European Commission had said that Apple benefited from two Irish tax rulings for more than two decades that artificially reduced its tax burden to as low as 0.005% in 2014.

India weighs changes to improve uptake of production incentive scheme
India is planning to ease and expand some norms for five sectors to help them better utilise its $24 billion industrial incentives aimed at boosting local manufacturing, two government officials said on Thursday. The 1.97-trillion rupees production-linked incentive scheme (PLI), launched in 2020, covers 14 sectors ranging from electronic products to drones but has been successful only in a handful of them, triggering reviews. The changes are being planned in the textiles, pharmaceuticals, drones, solar and food processing industries, which together form nearly a third of the PLI scheme. The government plans to include more products in the textile sector such as man-made fibre and give firms an additional year to meet the manufacturing targets required to claim incentives for the scheme, the officials said. The scheme will also be extended by a year for the pharmaceuticals sector, while the financial allocation will be raised for incentive payouts to the production of drones to 3.3 billion rupees from the current 1.2 billion rupees, the officials added. For the food processing sector, India plans to extend the scheme to millet-based products and include the production of ingots and wafers in the scheme for the solar module sector, the officials said. India's trade ministry, which oversees the scheme's implementation, is discussing the changes with other federal departments, they said. The officials did not wish to be named as details of the discussions have not been made public. The trade ministry did not respond to an emailed request for comment. «None of the changes currently being discussed require fresh financial allocation, but will draw from the scheme's savings,» one of the officials said. Trump's daughter worried he was not wealthy enough, emails in NY fraud trial show
Trump sought to buy a Florida golf course in 2011, his daughter Ivanka expressed concern that he was not wealthy enough to close the deal, according to evidence presented Wednesday in a civil fraud trial that threatens the former U.S. president's business empire. The emails and other documents were presented as New York state lawyers wrapped up their case, which argues that Trump and his company inflated his net worth by as much as $2.2 billion to win better financing terms. They are seeking more than $250 million in penalties and restrictions that could strip Trump of some of his best known trophy properties. Testifying as the state's final witness, Ivanka Trump sought to distance herself from the questionable valuation methods that have already been ruled fraudulent by the judge overseeing the trial.
