NEW DELHI : The government is considering implementing stricter norms to enforce the use of local components to bolster domestic manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs) amid instances of companies violating phased manufacturing programme (PMP) norms by assembling vehicles with imported parts. The Union ministry of heavy industries is considering introducing a 50% domestic value addition (DVA) requirement and doing away with the phased manufacturing programme as part of its proposed Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME) III, according to two people familiar with the development. DVA is calculated based on the net selling price of a product and the landed cost of imported inputs.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed claims of fraud and securities violations against Terraform Labs. Together with the company's co-founder, Do Kwon, Terraform Labs is vigorously pursuing a dismissal of these charges from a U.S. District Court. The legal representatives for Kwon and Terraform Labs argued in a document that was submitted on October 27 to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York that the cryptocurrencies Terra Classic (LUNC), TerraClassicUSD (USTC), Mirror Protocol (MIR), and mirrored assets (mAssets) are not securities as asserted by the SEC. The document was filed in response to the SEC's claim that the cryptocurrencies are securities.

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL), erstwhile Adani Transmission Ltd is planning a private placement of bonds worth $360 million, said a company executive. «We are looking for a private placement of $360 million of transmission assets which were commissioned in the last three to four years. That is a size of $360 million, transactions and paperwork all are underway,» Rohit Soni, chief financial officer, AESL told analysts on the company's Q2 earnings call.
