Vedanta Group and India's largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, has entered into an agreement to hire a high performance 2000 horsepower drilling rig from Parker Wellbore, recently acquired by Nabors Industries — a global technology provider. The pact will help expand the company's oil and gas exploration and production operations in India, the firm said in a statement. Cairn «will deploy this state-of-the-art rig in Barmer, Rajasthan — the company's largest onshore producing asset in India, this month,» it said. «This deployment aligns with Cairn's ongoing efforts to increase production and support its exploration initiatives in the region.» Recently at CERAWeek 2025, Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal shared the company's plan for India's energy sector growth. The company will be investing in brownfield projects to add 5 billion barrels of oil equivalent reserves, and produce 500,000 barrels per day at a cost of USD 5 per barrel, the statement said without giving timelines.

Noida, Greater Noida, and Jewar will further raise the overall cost of property acquisition for homebuyers, in addition to the already rising residential property prices set by developers in these districts, experts said. Builders said the authority should also consider that the real estate industry has entered a phase of consolidation and that prices have begun to plateau. «The proposed hike in circle rates may have some impact on sales in the near future because, besides increased property rates, homebuyers will have to pay more in stamp duty charges as well. Myntra is set to take a different route to entry-level hiring from this year, switching from on-campus final placements to internship. The fashion e-tailer is looking to hire more than 100 employees every year through this route, said its chief human resources officer Govindraj MK. «The internship programme will now be a primary pathway for hiring into first-level roles,» he told ET in an interview. For lateral roles, the company is mostly looking at in-house talent. «Whenever there's a vacancy, we prioritise internal talent mobility, grooming employees for higher roles through career development and learning programmes,» said Govindraj. This year Myntra has launched a four-to-six-month internship programme across tech, fashion-technology, business and finance. The first batch started in January 2025 and already, the company has engaged more than 10 interns, he said. «In all, we are looking at hiring about 150-170 interns throughout the year, and this will be our primary talent pipeline for full-time hiring,» said Govindraj. Students need to go through a screening process, including an entrance test and interviews, before being selected as interns. «This period (four to six months) is mutually beneficial; it allows students to assess whether our culture aligns with their career goals while we evaluate their potential for a full-time role,» he said.
