We just get lost with this term bazball, fumes Nasser Hussain
England Test coach Brendon McCullum's nickname Baz, fell flat as the tourists capitulated in three days in the fifth and final Test here, helping India secure their 17th straight Test series triumph on home soil. «We just get lost with this term Bazball. The team, the management does not like the term Bazball. They need to look at their own individual performances,» Hussain, who led England in 45 Test matches from 1999 to 2003, wrote in his column for Sky Sports. He added, «Look at the opposition. Like in anything in life, try and learn. Why did we collapse?

"If I wake up and feel I'm not good enough...": Rohit Sharma opens up on retirement
Rohit Sharma opened up on his retirement plans following India's series win against England. The series against England saw Rohit's leadership credentials come to the fore after India lost the opening Test, as he had to shepherd a side shorn of some big names and bring the best out of a young and inexperienced squad. Not burdened by leadership, he also shone with the bat aggregating over 400 runs in the series.

I am least insecure about what people feel about me experimenting: Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin worked on different actions and speeds throughout the Test series against England and the master off-spinner said experimenting while shutting out external noises was integral for his success in the varied Indian conditions. Ashwin, who played his 100th Test here, finished the five-match series as the top wicket-taker, bagging 26 wickets. «Throughout the series I have gone to different actions, speeds and releases. India is different, each ground has a challenge. I am least bit insecure about what people feel about me,» Ashwin said at the post-match presentation. The 37-year-old said the mindset to add new dimensions to his bowling has worked well for him.

The WPL, a tournament based in India, is transforming women’s cricket
WHO WOULDN’T want a sporting debut like Sajeevan Sajana’s? Playing for Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals in the first match of this year’s Women’s Premier League (WPL), a Twenty20 (T20) cricket tournament in India, she strode out to bat with her team needing five runs to win—and with just one delivery remaining in the game. With a smooth swing of the bat, she clouted her first ball in the WPL over the boundary rope for six. Mumbai, the defending champions, were up and running in the most dramatic fashion.

Vivek Ramaswamy supports Donald Trump's stand on Tiktok: ‘Professional politicians act like balls on pool table…’
Vivek Ramaswamy once again spoke against the TikTok ban saying that ‘bashing the China-based social media platform is easy. Understanding the actual issue is harder’. Coming in support of Donald Trump, he noted that ‘the former president was right in opposing a legislative ban’ and further criticised ‘other Republic candidates’ saying ‘many people in professional politics say what they are supposed to say without thinking about the why’.

No IBC amendment for real estate sector; regulations to act as sandbox
New Delhi: The government has dropped its plan to amend the bankruptcy law to introduce a special regime for real estate developers, letting creditors instead decide whether individual projects of a distressed developer should be sold piecemeal or as a whole. Last month, the bankruptcy rule maker granted creditors such flexibility, and the government wants to first see how this works, two persons informed about the development said.

Fifth Test: Kuldeep Yadav bundles out England for 218 on day one
Kuldeep Yadav. He has a spring in his steps, he bounds into the crease and puts his entire body into delivering the ball. From there on, it’s like he has the ball on a string. It goes above the batman’s eyeline and then dips, dropping like a bird of prey that has its catch in sight. On the first day of the fifth and final India-England Test at Dharamsala, Kuldeep hit his straps and he was irresistible. Once again, England had got off to a bright start, getting to 137 for 2 at a fast clip. Zak Crawley, who was careful against the quick bowlers in an initial probing spell, settled in against the spinners, using his long reach to good effect. Kuldeep then produced a bit of magic, drawing the batsman forward and getting the ball to break sharply to defeat the bat and crash into the stumps. Crawley had made 79 of England’s runs at the time.

Kuldeep Yadav's 5-wicket haul against England breaks 100-year-old record; makes him world's fastest spinner to.…
India vs England 5th Test: Ahead of Day 1 of the 5th Test in Dharamshala, spinner Kuldeep Yadav was not sure if he would get a chance to play as Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were looking to include a third seamer in the playing XI to capitalize on the cold conditions of Dharamshala. But, something stopped them from experimenting and it proved to be a great decision as Kuldeep Yadav dismissed all doubts with his 5-wicket haul on Day 1. With a fifer on Dharamshala cricket ground, Kuldeep Yadav became the world's quickest spinner to clinch 50 wickets.

"Jurel has all credentials to get where MS Dhoni reached....": Anil Kumble
Anil Kumble said that young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel has all the credentials to reach the heights that legendary skipper and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni achieved in his career. LeBron James becomes first player to score 40,000 points
LeBron James on Saturday became the first NBA player to score 40,000 career points, hitting a scoop layup off the glass in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers home game against the Denver Nuggets. James, who entered the game needing nine points to reach the milestone, used a spin move to create separation from Denver's Michael Porter Jr. and put the ball in with his left hand as the all-time scoring leader continues to put his record further out of reach. The sold-out crowd in downtown Los Angeles roared with approval when James made the highly-anticipated shot to reach 40,000 points and gave him a standing ovation when he went to the bench at the next break.

Weather Update: Delhi-NCR receives light rain, IMD warns of thunderstorms and hail
Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) woke up to light rain on Saturday morning, attributed to a western disturbance, leading to a dip in minimum temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted rain for both Friday and Saturday. «There is an active western disturbance which will impact the region. From Friday, March 1 night onwards there would be light weather activity with very light rain. However, the major impact is likely on Mar 2 with the possibility of thunderstorm, strong winds and light to moderate rain. From Mar 3 onwards, the effect will wear off. The minimum temperature may thus rise due to cloudiness; however, it will significantly drop around March 2,» said Kuldeep Srivastava, senior scientist at India Meteorological Department (IMD). Delhiites witnessed a light drizzle on Saturday morning, with the sunrise obscured by dark clouds. The IMD forecasted light to moderate rain throughout the day, with certain areas likely to experience hailstorms. An orange alert has been issued for the city, urging residents to stay updated with the weather forecast.

'Why Hardik Pandya….': Irfan Pathan, internet blast BCCI for dropping Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer from central contracts
Shreyas and Ishan. Hoping they bounce back and come back stronger. If players like Hardik don't want to play red ball cricket, should he and others like him participate in white-ball domestic cricket when they aren't on national duty? If this doesn't apply to all, then Indian cricket won't achieve the desired results!," India's veteran pacer Irfan Pathan said in a post on X.
