Polygon had an aggressive grants programme till the end of 2022, he said. However, the programme which was launched to get more developers to build on Polygon and grow the ecosystem, was shut down early this year. Early this year, in its community forum, the company said that this was no longer necessary as it needed to move to more sustainable means of funding. A vouchers programme was launched, wherein startups building on Polygon will get vouchers from their partners, like cloud credits for project support. It also shut down initiatives such as Polygon DAO, which became a part of Polygon Village as an initiative to engage communities across India.

The startups had presented their project at the Bitget's first shortlisting round on November 26 in Bangalore, India. The top 10 selected startups will pitch at the BUIDL for Web3 Summit's pitching session SPOTLIGHT on December 4. The startups that are pitching include Nexus Network, Blockflow, Lync, Sadaiv, 0xRivendall, StationX.network, Plena Finance, Reax, and Wallet X. “From the selected startups, the high potential startups stand a chance to get funding up to $100,000 subject to due diligence under the Bitget's Blockchain4Youth $10 Million initiative,” the company said in a statement.

Bitget wants to tap into this population through the Blockchain4Youth initiative.
