Kangana Ranaut quitting Bollywood? Actress says 'everything there is fake'
Kangana Ranaut, the acclaimed Bollywood actress, has made a significant declaration regarding her future in the film industry. During a recent interview, she revealed her intention to step away from Bollywood if she wins the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from the Mandi constituency. In an interview with AajTak, Kangana Ranaut expressed her firm decision, stating, «Yes,» when asked if she would bid farewell to Bollywood after fulfilling her current commitments. She emphasized her desire for passionate engagement, saying, «Ideally, I would want to do just one job.» Ranaut highlighted the disparity between the film world and the reality she seeks in public service. She remarked in Hindi, “The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment, it is a glossy world. Fake set, a fake bubble which is to reach to the audience – be it to invoke happiness or sadness. This is the reality and I have to live up to the expectations of the people. By the end of it, I should not feel that someone else could have done it better than me. There are a lot of expectations and I am new in public service, so I have a lot to learn and do. As I learn on the job, there is a lot at stake.” Addressing the potential disappointment her departure might bring, Kangana acknowledged that filmmakers have urged her to stay, recognizing her talent. She added, «I am a good actor and it's a compliment that I acknowledge.»

In Bihar's Hajipur, it's PM’s ‘Hanuman’ vs Lalu’s ‘Ram’
BJP threw its support behind Chirag, aligning with his Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), which was allocated five seats for Lok Sabha elections as part of a seat-sharing agreement. In contrast, the rival faction of the LJP led by his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, who was a Union minister at the time, was not allotted any seats. Now that Chirag has filed his nomination for Hajipur, the onus is on him to prove he enjoys the support of the Dalit community and is the “real” political heir to his father Ram Vilas Paswan, who represented this Lok Sabha seat eight times in the past. This marks Chirag's first Lok Sabha election without the presence of his father, who passed away in October 2020, leaving him without his guidance. With his uncle Pashupati Paras and his faction of the party refraining from supporting Chirag, the 42-year-old is facing the most challenging electoral battle of his ten-year political career. Previously elected from Jamui, a constituency reserved for Scheduled Castes, in both 2014 and 2019, Chirag has now shifted his focus to Hajipur for the upcoming election on May 20. This move is an attempt to assert his claim to his father's political legacy, which remains a point of contention between him and his uncle.

Virat Kohli reveals career-changing match in 2008, two heartbreaks of his cricketing journey
Virat Kohli opened up on two figures who helped him during his initial career and recalled the two «heartbreaks» he experienced during his peak of batting form back in 2016. Virat, representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be in action against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday at Bengaluru. With RCB at seventh place with six wins, seven losses and 12 points and CSK in the fourth place with seven wins, six losses and 14 points, this match is a knockout match that will decide which team gets to join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the playoffs. Speaking to JioCinema along with former cricketer Suresh Raina, Virat revealed that back in 2008 during the Emerging Players tournament in Australia, the then-chief selector Dilip Vengasarkar and Raina pushed his name for the national side. That tournament used to hold a lot of value back then since a lot of great talent would use that as a platform for getting a regular national spot. It was held from 2005-2011.
