It said every suspicion is not an allegation and Quant has always maintained transparency with its investors. The fund house stressed on its commitment to cooperate with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) through any review and has dedicated people to give data to Sebi on a regular basis, ET Now reported on Wednesday.

NEW DELHI : For the first time, India has achieved a higher ethanol production from grains, especially maize, than sugar-based feedstock, on the back of a government cap on the diversion of sugar for producing the biofuel. The share of grain-based ethanol stands at nearly 51% so far in the current ethanol-supply year (November 2023-October 2024), said two officials with access to data. Till 9 June, 357.12 crore litres of ethanol have been produced—175.74 crore litres from sugar-based feedstock—sugarcane juice, B-heavy molasses and C-heavy molasses—and 181.38 crore litres from grain-based feedstock—damaged foodgrains, surplus rice and maize available with Food Corp.

trade agreement (FTA) moving forward between India and Korea, the department of commerce is engaging with different ministries, including heavy industries, steel, and chemicals, to prepare the offer list, an official said. Preparation of the list is part of the negotiations, which are underway, for the upgrade of the existing FTA between the two countries, dubbed as comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA). The agreement was operationalised in January 2010. So far, 10 rounds of talks have been concluded. The official said both sides have exchanged the request list and «are working on the offer list» and for that the commerce ministry is holding discussions with different ministries, including steel, heavy industries, textiles, chemicals and petrochemicals.

KG, a Germany-based shipping company, for the construction and delivery of four multi-purpose cargo vessels. This contract, valued at around $54 million, is set to be completed within 33 months. The official statement from GRSE indicated that there is an option for building an additional four ships in the future.
