Infosys to train 50k employees on Nvidia AI stack Infosys share price has significantly underperformed its sectoral index BSE IT and the benchmark Sensex in the last one year. Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi on Saturday to lay the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said on Thursday that Modi will also participate in the closing ceremony of the Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre and later, inaugurate 16 Atal residential schools built across Uttar Pradesh. The international cricket stadium, to be built in Ganjari, Rajatalab, will be developed in more than 30 acres of area at a cost of about Rs 450 crore. The thematic architecture of the stadium draws inspiration from Lord Shiva, with designs developed for crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped floodlights and ghat steps-based seating arrangements.

The stock opened at ₹74.69 against the previous close of ₹81.75 and cracked 10 per cent to hit the level of ₹73.53 on BSE.

Jamie Dimon said the Federal Reserve may have to keep increasing its benchmark interest rate in the coming months to combat persistent inflation. The central bank was “a day late and a dollar short” in beginning to raise rates and the rapid increases over the last 18 months were just “catching up,” Dimon said Wednesday at an event hosted by the Detroit Economic Club. Dimon spoke just before the Fed published its decision to leave rates unchanged, though officials signaled that borrowing costs will likely stay higher for longer after one more hike this year. “Odds are higher that they will have to go higher than they are today,” Dimon said. “I’m talking about four months from now, six months from now — that inflation will be at 4% and it won’t be coming down for a whole bunch of reasons.” The central bank has spent much of the last 18 months fighting historic levels of inflation, which has decelerated in recent months.
