Investing.com-- Most Asian stocks fell on Tuesday, seeing some profit taking after rallying sharply through November on expectations of a less hawkish Federal Reserve, while a string of weak economic readings from across the region also dented sentiment. 

Investing.com-- Most Asian currencies weakened on Tuesday tracking a string of middling economic readings from the region, with the Australian dollar falling sharply after the Reserve Bank kept rates unchanged and offered scant cues on monetary policy. 

Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta is being sued by 83 Spanish media outlets over allegations that the social media giant breached EU data protection rules between 2018 and 2023, leading to unfair competition in the advertising market. The newspapers, led by media organisation AMI, claim that Meta's "massive" and "systematic" collection of users' personal data has given the company an 'illegitimately gained competitive advantage' in the design and delivery of personalised ads.

India and the USA on Monday held a comprehensive review of India-US Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) at the level of Deputy National Security Advisers and agreed to broaden the scope of iCET to biotechnology, critical minerals and rare earths processing technologies, digital connectivity and digital public infrastructure, and advanced materials. The two Deputy NSAs have agreed to broaden the scope of iCET to biotechnology, critical minerals and rare earths processing technologies, digital connectivity and digital public infrastructure, and advanced materials, officials said, adding, they also affirmed the importance of easing regulations to facilitate high-tech collaborations, and transfer of technology. During the consultations, the two Deputy NSAs reviewed key bilateral issues and exchanged views on regional and global developments, officials said.

Propulsion Module (PM) of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, which was initially intended for lunar operations, was successfully returned to Earth's orbit by ISRO after exceeding its lunar mission objectives, demonstrating India's ability to not only launch objects to the Moon but also bring them back. Following the lunar hop by Vikram (lander), this was another accomplishment that shows that ISRO can restart engines on the moon and operate equipment, both of which were not foreseen, the national space agency stated in a release. «In another unique experiment, like the hop experiment on the Vikram Lander, the Propulsion Module (PM) of Chandrayaan-3 was moved from an orbit around the Moon to an orbit around Earth,» the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) stated in its official release. The primary objective of the Chandrayaan-3, the country's first successful lunar landing mission, was to demonstrate a soft landing near the lunar south polar region and perform experiments using the instruments onboard the lander 'Vikram' and rover 'Pragyaan'. The spacecraft was launched on July 14, 2023, on board the LVM3-M4 vehicle from SDSC, SHAR. On August 23, Vikram Lander made its historic touchdown on the Moon and subsequently, the Pragyan rover was deployed to survey the uncharted lunar south pole. The scientific instruments in the lander and rover were operated continuously for 1 lunar day as per the defined mission life, the ISRO stated in its release, adding that the mission objectives of Chandrayaan-3 have been completely met. 'With regard to the Propulsion Module, the main objective was to ferry the Lander module from GTO to the final lunar polar circular orbit and separate the Lander.

Manisha Padhi, a 2015 batch Indian Air Force (IAF) officer, on Monday became the first woman in the country to ascend to the post of Aide-de-Camp (ADC). Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, on November 29, appointed Squadron Leader Padhi as the ADC from the armed forces at a brief ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan in the state capital, Aizawl. «Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor of Mizoram. Squadron Leader Manisha is India's first woman Indian Armed Forces officer to be appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor of the country,» the Governor's office in Mizoram stated in an official release. Squadron Leader Padhi formally joined her post and reported to the Governor on November 29.
