China has responded to the queries around the mysterious flu that is affecting children. After the WHO raised a concern and sought data, Beijing has replied saying that the outbreaks are not related to any ‘unknown viruses’. Contrary to concerns raised by local media and global surveillance systems like ProMed, Beijing says that it has not identified any “unusual or novel pathogens” linked to these cases in the northern part of the country, reported BBC.

IIFL Finance Limited, which is one of India’s largest non-banking financial companies, today said that leading rating agency CRISIL has upward revised its outlook to ‘Positive’ from ‘Stable’. The agency has also reaffirmed the long-term rating at ‘CRISIL AA’ and short-term rating at ‘CRISIL A1+’. In the rating rationale released by CRISIL Ratings said, “The outlook revision reflects the strengthening market position of IIFL Finance group and the expected sustained improvement in its profitability.

BANGKOK (Reuters) — Thailand expects 3.4-3.5 million visitors from China this year, below its target, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said on Friday, despite rolling out a visa-free programme to attract Chinese tourists.

The World Coal Association has rebranded itself as “FutureCoal: The Global Alliance for Sustainable Coal,” Chief Executive Officer Michelle Manook said at a press conference in Delhi. “For too long our global coal value chain has allowed anti-coal sentiment to dominate and fragment us,” Manook said in a statement. That’s “resulted in a lowering of the global coal IQ,” which the group defines as an understanding of coal’s contribution to society. Coal is the biggest contributor to planet-warming emissions globally.

Sources aware of the developments told ET that NABFID is eyeing a bond sale worth up to ₹10,000 crore, while the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway aims to garner funds worth up to ₹3,000 crore. Amongst banks, state-owned lenders Bank of Baroda and Canara Bank are looking to raise funds worth up to ₹10,000 crore and ₹5,000 crore, respectively, through the issuance of infrastructure bonds, the sources said. The massive bond pipeline comes at a time when government bond yields have eased significantly from seven-month highs touched in early October.

sugar companies were among the top gainers on Thursday on expectations that prices would firm up on supply shortages in key states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. Out of the 35 sugar stocks on the BSE, 30 rallied in Thursday's trade. Avadh Sugar soared 13.20%, Magadh Sugar jumped 12.8% and DCM Shriram rose 10%.

Reserve Bank of India and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), for pushing the adoption of the central bank-backed digital currency (CBDC), said two bankers in the know of the matter. Both the RBI and NPCI want CBDC to make digital payments as simple as cash transactions, the bankers said.
