PM Modi's recent interview a flop show, BJP won't cross 150 seats: Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a joint press conference with INDIA bloc partner, Samajwadi Party, launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi by calling the BJP's leader's recent interview 'scripted and flop show.' «A few days ago, the Prime Minister gave a very long interview to ANI. It was scripted, but it was a flop show. The Prime Minister tried to explain electoral bonds in it. The Prime Minister says that the system of electoral bonds was brought for transparency, to clean politics,» said Rahul Gandhi. Continuing his comments on PM Modi, the Congress leader remaked that if this is true then why was that system cancelled by the Supreme Court. «And secondly, if you wanted to bring transparency then why did you hide the names of those who gave money to BJP. And why did you hide the dates on which they gave you the money?.. This is the biggest extortion scheme in the world. All the businessmen of India understand and know this and no matter how much clarification the Prime Minister wants to give, it will not make any difference. Because the entire country knows that the Prime Minister is the champion of corruption,» said Rahul Gandhi.

Calcutta HC passes interim order in Glocal case
Calcutta High Court has passed an interim order in the case between NYSE-listed UpHealth Holdings and Kolkata-based Glocal Healthcare Systems. The high court has asked Glocal's promoters and shareholders, including former Sebi chairman M Damodaran to file affidavits of their assets and disclose their liabilities. The court also rejected Damodaran's plea to be absolved from any liability in the case. UpHealth, a digital health company, acquired a 95% stake in Glocal in 2020. The dispute started after UpHealth claimed their right to two directors on the board of Glocal as per the share purchase agreement (SPA) in September 2022, which was defeated in an extraordinary general meeting (EGM).

J&K polls within SC deadline of September: Amit Shah
Amit Shah on Tuesday said the BJP strives to win hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as the party is in no hurry to see lotus bloom in the valley. Shah, while addressing an election rally in Jammu Lok Sabha constituency to campaign for BJP candidate Jugal Kishore, said that the regional parties are propagating the perception that BJP is out to occupy Kashmir, which is not correct. He added that assembly elections in J&K would be held within the Supreme Court deadline of September this year. «We are not among the occupiers, we are among those who win hearts. You don't have to worry. I want to tell the electorate of the valley that BJP has no urgency. When we get your love, lotus will bloom in the valley on its own as well,» said Shah.

Patanjali's Ramdev, Balkrishna still not off the hook, says Supreme Court
Supreme Court on Tuesday said Patanjali Ayurved Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna and cofounder and self-styled yoga guru Baba Ramdev are still «not off the hook,» despite the duo tendering “unqualified and unconditional apology” in person for promoting misleading advertisements of their ayurveda products. The apex court also gave Ramdev and Balkrishna a week’s time to take steps “to redeem themselves and demonstrate” their bona fides in relation to the advertisements and asked both to be present before it on April 23, the next hearing. A bench comprising justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah, conversing in Hindi, noted that Ramdev had made significant contributions to yoga. But Justice Kohli said: “We have not decided whether to forgive you or not. We will think about it. Your history is similar. We are keeping in mind your previous role. You have violated (directives) thrice. The earlier orders are under our consideration. You are not so innocent that you do not know what is going on in the court."
