Sharp decline in FDI into India from Cayman Islands, Cyprus during April-Sep
Cayman Islands and Cyprus contracted significantly during April-September this fiscal as the overall inflows declined by 24 per cent, according to the government data. FDI from Cayman Islands dipped 75 per cent to USD 145 million during April-September from USD 582 million in the same period last fiscal, the data showed.

RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group's PCBL to acquire Aquapharm Chemicals for ₹3,800 cr
₹3,800 crore, beating the likes of Dorf-Ketal and Tata Chemicals to win the bid. The acquisition will give PCBL, among the largest manufacturers of carbon black material in India, a crucial foothold in the specialty segments of water treatment chemicals and oil and gas chemicals. PCBL (formerly known as Phillips Carbon Black Limited) expects to finance the deal through a mix of internal accruals and external fundraising, the company told stock exchanges after the share purchase agreement was signed on 28 November.

NEW DELHI : Airing of prime cricket property—the World Cup, preceded by the Asia Cup—has resulted in a dent in viewership and advertising for non-sports channels on television as well as streaming platforms. ED issues show-cause notice to Byju’s for Fema violations
₹9,362.35 crore. Byju’s breached Fema’s provisions by “failing to submit documents of imports against advance remittances made outside India, by failing to realize proceeds of exports made outside India, by delayed filing of documents against the foreign direct investment (FDI) received into the company, by failing to file documents against the remittances made by the company outside India and by failing to allot shares against the FDI received into the company," the investigation agency said in a statement. The ED had searched several offices of Byju’s and residences of its top executives on 24 and 28 April.
