Ethereum [ETH], which was the second-largest proof-of-work network, switched to proof of stake due to the Ethereum merge. This led to ETH 2.0, a proof-of-stake network, where stakers took the place of miners to validate network transactions. 

Due to non-compliant target market determinations, Australia’s primary financial market regulator has issued temporary stop orders on three cryptocurrency-related funds that were going to be made available to retail investors (TMDs).

Ether (ETH) price has been unable to close above $1,400 for the past 29 days and it has been trading in a relatively tight $150 range. At the moment, the $1,250 support and the $1,400 resistance seem difficult to break, but two months ago, Ether was trading at $2,000. The current price range for Ether simply reflects how volatile cryptocurrencies can be.

Maker [MKR] recently registered a promising uptick as its value increased by 7% in the last week. At press time, MKR was trading at $1,004 with a market capitalization of $959,766,006.

Uniswap zoomed more than 12 per cent, whereas XRP and Shiba Inu rallied 7 per cent each. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Polygoon added 4 per cent each. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher at $915.55 billion, jumping more than 3 per cent in the last 24 hours. However, the total trading volume jumped more than 91 per cent, almost doubled, to $86.66 billion.
