Election Commission has received details from the State Bank of India (SBI) related to the electoral bonds and will share all relevant information in time, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said here on Wednesday. The assertion comes in the wake of the Supreme Court directing the SBI to submit the details of the electoral bonds purchased since April 12, 2019 to the EC. SBI is the authorised financial institution to issue the electoral bonds. «The SBI was supposed to submit the data by March 12. They have given to us the details in time. I will go back and look at the data (and) would definitely disclose it in time,» Kumar told reporters here.

Paytm is racing against time to migrate its banking services from Paytm Payments Bank to other lenders. The National Payments Corporation of India, which runs the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) railroad, is working to certify Paytm’s application to become a third-party payment app, said two senior bankers in the know. Four banks – Yes Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and State Bank of India – will support Paytm’s consumer-facing UPI payments, one of the bankers said.

Reliance Ethane Holding Pte Ltd. (REHPL) a wholly owned subsidiary of oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries has invested Rs 284 crore each in three of its subsidiaries--Ethane Coral LLC, Ethane Diamond LLC, and Ethane Jade LLC-- aggregating to Rs 852.8 crore ($102.90 million). Ethane LLCs have entered into ship-building contracts (SBCs) to purchase Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLECs) and each Ethane LLC will own a VLEC. VLECs are being acquired for the transportation of Ethane. The investment is made to enable Ethane LLCs to make part payment towards the cost of construction of three VLECs. «Reliance Ethane Holding Pte Ltd. (REHPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has informed that it has today invested in 34,300,000 ordinary shares of face value of $1 each for cash at par, in each of its three wholly owned subsidiaries,» RIL said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has filed a lawsuit against its former Vice President of Infrastructure, Dipinder Singh Khurana, also known as T S Khurana, for allegedly stealing confidential documents before joining a «stealth» AI cloud computing startup, as reported by Bloomberg. The lawsuit, filed on February 29 in a California state court, accuses Khurana of violating his contract and engaging in «brazenly disloyal» conduct, according to Bloomberg. Khurana, who worked at Meta for 12 years, allegedly uploaded a «trove of proprietary, susceptible, confidential, and non-public documents about Meta's business and employees» to his personal Google Drive and Dropbox accounts just before leaving the company, the lawsuit claims. These documents reportedly include information related to employee pay and performance and non-public business contracts.
