The IT ministry said the Centre for Generative AI, to be set up at the Indian Institute of Jodhpur, will work towards advancing open-source AI in India. “The partnership will enable development of indigenous AI applications, advance skill development in AI, boost research capabilities with the aim of contributing to India’s AI mission of ensuring tech sovereignty and the vision of building AI solutions that are tailor made for India,” IT ministry said.

Rahul Gandhi on Saturday expressed concern over the recent sharp decline in the Indian stock markets and said the party must evolve ways to protect the interests of youngsters, the salaried class and the common people who have invested their money. In a video of a phone conversation with Pawan Khera — chairman of the Congress' media and publicity department — Gandhi described the stock market as a «space of risk» and urged party leaders to devise innovative ways of cautioning retail investors for protecting their hard-earned money. «If you want me involved in it, tell me how,» Gandhi told Khera, expressing his willingness to be part of a communication campaign to protect the interests of retail investors. The former Congress president posted a video of the conversation with Khera on Instagram with the caption, «Who is in the syndicate that guards the corrupt?»

City Champions Summit, hosted by Josh Talks, on Saturday, 16 innovative startups were celebrated for their groundbreaking work in transforming India’s urban landscapes. Meta on Friday announced a strategic collaboration with 'IndiaAI' at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to drive advancement of open source AI innovation, R&D and skill development in India. This includes the establishment of the Center for Generative AI, Shrijan at IIT Jodhpur and the launch of the 'AI for Skilling and Capacity Building' initiative, in partnership with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The partnership will enable development of indigenous AI applications, and advance skill development in AI. It would also bolster research capabilities with the aim of contributing to India's AI mission of ensuring tech sovereignty and the vision of AI solutions tailor made for India. «Aimed at propelling the advancement of open source artificial intelligence (AI) in India, as part of its Memorandum of Understanding with the 'IndiaAI', Meta today announced a strategic collaboration with IndiaAI at the MeitY,» according to a release.

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said in a conversation with Nvidia chief executive officer (CEO) Jensen Huang.
