In runup to Swiggy’s IPO, Baron marks up food-delivery firm’s valuation to $15.1 bn
BENGALURU:Swiggy’s fair valuation has been marked up to $15.1 billion by top investor Baron Capital as of 31 March, underscoring the food and grocery delivery platform’s growth potential ahead of its public-market listing.This marks a 24% jump in valuation from Baron’s previous disclosure, as per filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The New York-based asset management firm, which was one of Swiggy’s earliest investors, had valued the share of its holdings in the Indian company at $12.2 billion last year.In April, another top US-based investor, Invesco, lifted its valuation of Swiggy by nearly 20% to $12.7 billion.

Infra mutual funds among top winners in last 5 years of Modi government
mutual funds have been among the top 10 winners in the last five years of the Modi government, data crunching by ETMutualFunds showed. Around 108 sectoral/thematic funds were in the market in the said period. Out of the top 10 sectoral/thematic funds, eight schemes were from the infrastructure sector. Infrastructure funds have offered an absolute return of up to 380% in the last five years of the Modi-led government. Quant Infrastructure Fund, the topper in the list, gave an absolute return of 379.75% in the last five years. Invesco India Infrastructure Fund delivered 282.53% in the said period.

mutual fund scheme Mirae Asset NYSE FANG+ETF FoF-Reg(G) delivered nearly 20% returns in the January-March quarter outperforming its peers in this category in the said period. Asset Management India, its CEO Saurabh Nanavati and four others on Wednesday settled with markets regulator Sebi a case on alleged non-segregation between the mutual fund activities and portfolio management activities of the company after payment of nearly Rs 5 crore. The four others were Sujoy Das, Nitish Sikand, Krishna Cheemalapati and Suresh Jakhotiya. The order came after the six entities filed settlement applications with the Sebi in October 2023, proposing to settle the pending proceedings through a settlement order «without admitting or denying the findings of fact and conclusions of law».
