BYD aims to double overseas sales to 800,000 in 2025: chairman to analysts
BYD aims to double its sales outside China to over 800,000 cars in 2025 and will look to overcome tariffs by assembling cars locally, its chairman told analysts on an earnings call on Tuesday. BYD, which sold 417,204 units abroad in 2024, expects to see «a substantial rise» in its market share in Britain, which is «very open» to competitive Chinese products, according to a transcript of the call Wang Chuanfu reviewed by Reuters. They also see «great opportunities» to grow rapidly in Latin American and South East Asian countries, where the governments and people are friendly with Chinese brands, he said.

Before Tiger Woods: Vanessa Trump’s wild romance history includes a gangster, Leo DiCaprio, and a Saudi prince with links to Al Qaeda
Vanessa Trump's love life has been nothing less than a Hollywood movie script. Prior to marrying Donald Trump Jr., she was romantically associated with a gangster, a prince, and an A-list actor. Now she's in the news again, this time for dating golf icon Tiger Woods. The celebrity couple made their relationship public with a shocking statement on Sunday, making Tiger Woods the most recent addition to Vanessa Trump's turbulent romantic life. Ten days prior, Tiger Woods, 49, and Donald Trump, 47, posted two images on social media expressing their love, confirming the story that was exclusively reported by the Daily Mail. «With you by my side, life is better and love is in the air!» We are excited to travel through life together. We would value privacy at this time for everyone we care about," Woods wrote in the caption, as quoted in a report by the Daily Mail. After being connected to a number of intriguing figures in the past, including a Saudi prince and a Latin gang member, the golf legend's new partner has had an exciting dating life. She later wed Don Trump Jr. in 2005, and the two of them have five children together. On March 15, 2018, she filed for an uncontested divorce, as quoted in a report by the Daily Mail.

How Trump is driving Asia to diversify away from US
The Trump administration appears to be breaking from that order, with foreign and economic policies that have challenged U.S. allies, undercut some multilateral institutions and used tactics such as tariffs. While it is unclear what will eventually emerge, interviews this month with more than a dozen senior bankers, investors and officials based in Asia showed that they are not waiting to find out. They are looking for an 'America plus 1' strategy, which reduces their reliance on the United States going forward.

Alien Enemies Act: What to know about 1798 law that Trump has invoked for deportations
Trump on Saturday invoked the Alien Enemies Act for the first time since World War II, granting himself sweeping powers under a centuries-old law to deport people associated with a Venezuelan gang. Hours later, a federal judge halted deportations under Trump's order. The act is a sweeping wartime authority that allows non-citizens to be deported without being given the opportunity to go before an immigration or federal court judge. Bluesky CEO Jay Graber subtly roasts Mark Zuckerberg with bold T-Shirt choice, sending social media into a frenzy; here's what her message conveyed
South by Southwest festival, Bluesky CEO Jay Graber made a quiet but pointed statement wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with the Latin phrase “Mundus sine caesaribus” (“a world without Caesars”). The message was a direct clapback at Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who months earlier had sported a similar shirt reading “aut Zuck aut nihil”, a twist on the ancient slogan “aut Caesar aut nihil” (“either a Caesar or nothing”). Graber’s fashion choice wasn’t just a meme; it encapsulated Bluesky’s mission to dismantle the idea of a social media emperor ruling over users. “Our infrastructure shouldn’t be controlled by one CEO,” Bluesky’s Emily Liu told Huffington Post, framing the platform’s decentralized model as a rebellion against Zuckerberg’s—or any billionaire’s dominance.

Indian immigrants deported: The big business of donkey route
illegal immigrants in the US has once again highlighted how well-to-do Indians spend big money for illegally entering the US from Mexico and Canada borders. With lax policies regarding illegal immigrants in the US under the previous administration, human trafficking had turned into business that spawned mega bucks. A large number of Indians, mostly from Punjab and Gujarat, making a beeline for the US through a Latin American country and then Mexico, or crossing over from Canada, points at the well-oiled trafficking business that attracts thousands of well-paying clients every month. Since Trump won the US Presidential elections last year, this big business has seen a sudden slump. What is the "donkey route"?
