Mexico's Claudia Sheinbaum plans constitutional reforms as US labels drug cartels as terrorists
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Thursday announced to propose constitutional reform to further protect the country's national sovereignty.

Sheinbaum’s announcement comes after the US President Donald Trump's administration designated several Mexican drug cartels as well as criminal gangs as foreign terrorist organisations.
Speaking at a news conference, Claudia Sheinbaum said the people of Mexico will «under no circumstances accept interventions, intrusions, or any other action from abroad that are detrimental to the integrity, independence, or sovereignty of the nation.»
This includes «violations of Mexican territory, whether by land, sea, or air,» Reuters quoted her as saying.
