cryptocurrency markets were trading higher on Friday with an increase of over 4% in the crypto market cap in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin (BTC) rose 2.30% to $30,786, whereas Ethereum (ETH) surged 10.5%, and was above the $2,100 level. «Rising by over 10% in the past 24 hours, ETH is trading in the $2.1k zone despite some fearing a massive dump after the Shapella upgrade. BTC is also on the rise to chase the $31k mark. The crypto fear and greed index have jumped 7 points to regain the scoring for 68, hinting towards increasing investor confidence,» Parth Chaturvedi, Crypto Ecosystem Lead at CoinSwitch, said. Other top crypto tokens were also trading higher on Friday. Dogecoin jumped nearly 9%. Meanwhile, BNB, XRP, Litecoin, Solana and Cardano also traded with gains. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher around $1.28 trillion, rising 4.25% in the last 24 hours. The market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, was around $595 billion. Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 46.30%, a decrease of 0.95% over the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) are trading above the psychologically important levels of $30,000 and $2,000 respectively. This suggests that the crypto winter may be on its last legs. 

«Most cryptocurrencies rose slightly in the past 24 hours after mildly encouraging inflation data on one side and Ethereum Shanghai upgrades on the other. Bitcoin was seen trading above the US$30,000 level, with its resistance set at US$30,500. This shows that the bulls currently have the upper hand in the market. However, the support of BTC lies at the US$29,900 level,» Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO at Mudrex, said. Other top crypto tokens were also trading higher. Solana surged over 5%. Meanwhile, Polkadot, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Cardano also traded with gains. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher around $1.23 trillion, rising 1.09% in the last 24 hours. The market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, was around $582 billion. Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 47.25%, a decrease of 0.25% over the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency, reversed its modest losses from the previous day and regained traction above the $30,000 level once more. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency, broke through the $1,900 barrier and outperformed Bitcoin.

The March consumer price index climbed marginally by 0.1%, below economists' expectation of a 0.2% increase and February’s advance of 0.4%. Although inflation is showing signs of slowing, the year-on-year CPI increased by 5%, well above the Federal Reserve’s 2% target.

Bitcoin's recent price surge, with BTC leaping up $1,000, has left investors and market analysts eager to predict the next target for the leading cryptocurrency. 

Bitcoin (BTC) is up about 71% in Q1 2023, which is the first positive quarter after four consecutive quarters of negative returns in 2023, according to data from Coinglass. This shows that the sentiment has turned positive and the bulls are trying to put a bottom in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, halved its downward trend and regained momentum on the day. Meanwhile, Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, outperformed BTC, increasing by more than 4%. 

One of the biggest beneficiaries of the bull cycle of 2023 has been Litecoin [LTC]. The coin of the proof-of-work (PoW) chain has logged gains of over 28% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis and nearly 12% over the last seven days of trading, data from CoinMarketCap showed.

In recent times, the Bitcoin market has been facing a significant challenge as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a lawsuit against Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges. This development has caused unease in the market, leading to speculation on the future of Bitcoin's price. 

The cryptocurrency market was caught off guard today as news broke of a CFTC lawsuit targeting leading crypto exchange Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao.
