A number of prominent technology and digital asset firms have expressed support for Canton Network, a new blockchain seeking to streamline financial markets through the use of Web3 technology.

Using the Network, financial institutions will be able to enjoy a reconciliation-free environment where assets, data, and cash can synchronize freely across applications.For example, asset registers and cash payment systems are distinct and siloed systems in today's markets.

A new blockchain network aimed at financial institutions is in the works from a conglomerate of participants in the finance and tech space, including the likes of Microsoft and Goldman Sachs.

The recent surge in Bitcoin (BTC) transaction fees has lit a fire under one of the largest crypto exchanges to upgrade to the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Following a second halt in withdrawals, Binance announced it would work on “enabling BTC Lightning Network withdrawals, which will help in such situations.”
