UPS Lowe's NIFTY SENSEX index Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.24% in an upbeat market
Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 3.13 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers. Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.24 per cent at 15981.5 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 30.95 points at 19559.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 107.71 points at 65735.85. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red. Shares of Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank, MMTC, JP Power and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Century Extrus, MMTC, Vinsys IT Services, Raymond and Pritika Engineering hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, N K Industries, GNA Axles and Arvee Laboratories hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.

The two funds are Zerodha Tax Saver (ELSS) Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index Fund and Zerodha Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index Fund. Both are passive index funds, tracking the Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index Fund. Zerodha Tax Saver Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index Fund is an open-ended passive equity linked savings scheme, with a statutory lock-in period of 3 years. The fund will invest in stocks comprising the Nifty LargeMidcap 250 index in the same proportion as in the index, while offering deduction on such investment under the 80C income tax. The Zerodha Nifty LargeMidcap 250 index fund is also an open-ended scheme, but a normal diversified scheme.
