Rural-focused fintech startup Jai Kisan has obtained a non-banking finance company (NBFC) licence following its acquisition of a majority stake in Kushal Finnovation Capital, an NBFC specialising in supply chain financing. With this new NBFC licence, Jai Kisan can now offer customised financial products including loans from its own portfolio. India's coal import rose by 5.7 per cent to 75.26 million tonnes (MT) in the first quarter of the current fiscal compared to 71.16 MT of coal in the same period of the previous fiscal.
