Sebi should educate investors but not over-regulate derivatives
₹331 trillion between 1 January, 2023 and 25 Nov, 2023 – that’s about 115% higher than in 2022. Leverage in derivatives is high and turnover is reported in nominal contract value so this looks more impressive than it is, but it is a very high volume anyhow. Around 4 million individual investors participated in the F&O segment.

Disney CEO Iger promises 2026 exit, says ABC not for sale
Bob Iger said on Wednesday he would «definitely» step down when his current contract ends in 2026 and that the ABC broadcast network was not for sale. In a wide-ranging interview at the New York Times Dealbook Conference, Iger also said he was «bullish» on the prospects for Shanghai Disneyland and he expected the company would expand the theme park «relatively soon.» Iger, 72, returned to Disney as CEO in November 2022, less than a year after he retired, to revamp the media company after the board ousted his hand-picked successor, Bob Chapek. Iger had planned to stay for two years but agreed to extend his stay through 2026. Disney's board is undertaking a «robust» search for a successor, Iger said, adding that he was «definitely going to step down» at the end of his current contract. After Iger spoke, Disney's board announced it had appointed Morgan Stanley CEO James P.

Canada night sky dazzles with stunning light pillars. What are these?
Dar Tanner while posting the image on platform X (formerly known as Twitter) wrote, «Mind blowing light pillars in our little village of Alix, Alberta». What appears to be a neat photography ploy is actually a stunning natural phenomenon. These beautiful natural phenomena known as light pillars are columns of lights created when light from the earth's surface reflects off of six-sided ice crystals that are present in the frozen clouds above. According to Michael Kavulich of the National Center for Atmospheric Research, ice crystals in clouds settle horizontally during very calm conditions, like dinner plates laying flat. They basically act as mirrors, which reflect light coming from streetlights and other sources shining on the ground to form a beam of light that is between the Earth and the sky. Moreover, light pillars can also be formed by sunlight. A sun pillar is a column of light that forms when the sun peeks over the horizon at sunrise or sunset. This phenomenon is caused by sunlight reflecting off of «dinner plate» ice crystals in the clouds.
