Walmart to report, Biden-Xi meeting - what's moving markets
Investing.com -- U.S. stock futures inch broadly lower on Thursday after a positive session on Wall Street, while traders look ahead to retail chain Walmart's (NYSE:WMT) forecast for the holiday shopping season. Elsewhere, President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping agree to re-open military communications after a crucial face-to-face meeting, and the U.S. Senate approves a stop-gap spending bill that will almost certainly avert a looming partial government shutdown.

What Scindia used to say for PM is not erased: Former MP CM Kamal Nath on Priyanka Gandhi called 'part-time leader'
Jyotiraditya Scindia calling Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi a «part-time leader», former Madhya Pradesh CM and state Congress president Kamal Nath said that what Scindia used to say for Shivraj Singh and the Prime Minister when he was in Congress is not «erased.» «What Jyotiraditya Scindia used to say for Shivraj Singh and PM when he was in Congress, is not erased. Now, he is saying for Congress what he used to say for them,» former MP CM said on Thursday. The war of words between Scindia and Priyanka Gandhi started when the Congress leader on Wednesday attacked her former party colleague, saying that the latter is «short in height but is high on arrogance». Priyanka Gandhi, addressing a public rally in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, also took a swipe at Scindia, calling him a 'traitor'.

Meghalaya Residents Safety Bill: MHA raises objections to Entry-Exit points, govt likely to revisit Bill
home ministry raising objections to the provision for Entry-Exit points in the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Amendment Bill (MRSSAB), 2020, the state government is likely to revisit the bill. MHA recently returned the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Amendment Bill (MRSSAB), 2020. Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home, Prestone Tynsong, on Wednesday informed about the concerns raised by the MHA to a delegation of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC). The central government is of the opinion that any acts and provisions enacted by the State should not cause inconvenience to people entering and exiting the state. HYC president Roy Kupar Synrem said, “The deputy CM told us that the MHA has certain reservations when it comes to setting up of entry-exit points or the gates as per the provisions of the Act (because such) gates will create inconvenience to the visitors or the people who enter the state.” He said the MHA has reservation or has put a direction that any Bill or any Act which is made by the state government should not be against or in contravention against any Act passed by the Parliament. Synrem said the HYC has requested the deputy CM to provide a copy of the MHA letter so that they can also give suggestions to the government. The state government has decided to soon call a meeting with all stakeholders to revisit the Bill and amend it as per the directions and observations by the MHA. Synrem said, «We have made two demands before the government — if you cannot give us ILP, give us MRSSAB but at the same time we understand that the Centre is a bit hesitant to give ILP, so we request the government that the amendment Bill should be passed.
