WhatsApp reports LIC Housing Q1 Results: Profit falls 2% to Rs 1,300 crore
LIC Housing Finance on Friday reported a 2 per cent decline in its profit to Rs 1,300 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. LIC-promoted housing finance company had reported a profit of Rs 1,324 crore in the year-ago period. The total income increased to Rs 6,784 crore during the quarter against Rs 6,747 crore in the same period last year, LIC Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.

This filing led to the MCA's hefty penalty against the company. “The company did not have a chief financial officer till the appointment of Chintan Vasantlal Bhatt on 24.03.2023, thereby violating the relevant provisions of the act from 20.12.2021 to 23.03.2023 i.e. 459 days,” the MCA order noted.

Eris Lifesciences on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax declined by 4.5 per cent year on year to Rs 89 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2024. The drug maker had reported a profit after tax of Rs 94 crore in the April-June quarter of the last fiscal. Revenue rose to Rs 720 crore for the first quarter of 2024-25 from Rs 467 crore in the year-ago period, Eris Lifesciences said in a statement.
