Spain says Israel's 'disproportionate response' in Gaza a global threat
Pedro Sanchez warned Wednesday that Israel's «disproportionate response» in the Gaza war with Hamas risks «destabilising the Middle East, and as a consequence, the entire world». Sanchez also insisted that the recognition of a Palestinian state, long resisted by Israel and its key allies, is «in Europe's geopolitical interests». Sanchez had already raised the subject of statehood during a visit last week to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, when he told reporters that Spain could recognise Palestine as a nation by the end of June.

A unique poll privilege: The place where voters can choose their state just before elections
Kotia appears in news headline whenever it's poll time — but not because it is a critical seat or something. It is because of the unique privilege its voters enjoy — they can vote in two states. Kotia is located along the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha border. The place is at the centre of a long-running territorial dispute between the two. Electorally, it falls in two Lok Sabha constituencies: Araku in Andhra and Koraput in Odisha. The area has more than 2,500 voters spread across 21 tribal villages. These voters hold voter IDs, ration cards, and even pension cards of both Odisha and Andhra.

'Rohit Sharma doesn't want…': Yashasvi Jaiswal's poor IPL 2024 form ignites T20 World Cup debate
Rajasthan Royals is doing great in the tournament, the form of its openers has been a constant concern. Ahead of the T20 World Cup, the selectors are keeping a close watch on IPL 2024 and Yashasvi Jaiswal's struggle might force them to rethink his position. Veteran cricketer Wasim Jaffer and Mitchell McClenaghan disagree on Yashasvi Jaiswal's approach in the IPL 2024 so far and while Jaffer wants the young opener to take his time before going aggressive, Mitchell McClenaghan believes that ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma would want Yashasvi Jaiswal to display attacking cricket.

4 stocks Rohan Gupta is bullish on from chemical sector
«The structural growth opportunity which we say for the speciality chemical players, especially in names like CDMO, China plus one, Europe's energy crisis and Europe plus one, all those structural growth driver were there in last one year also and even right now also we see that they remain intact,» says Rohan Gupta, Nuvama Institutional Equities. What is your sense? Has it bottomed out because for the longest time speciality chemicals have been dealing with one headwind or another. Finally, is there light at the end of the road? Yes, first of all, you are absolutely right that the speciality chemical sector has been quite a lot of disappointment for their investors in last four to six quarters. The sector has not participated in the entire rally while we are seeing that the midcaps and smallcaps are making new highs. This sector has definitely not performed well.

Telcos unanimous in opposing Trai tougher quality norm proposals
Telecom operators, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have demonstrated rare unanimity in opposing the sector regulator’s proposal to have more stringent provisions for improving the quality of services. Consumer advocacy groups, however, have backed the regulator in demanding guardrails that hold telcos accountable for the quality of service, prompting telcos and telecom associations to oppose the draft regulations. The regulator has asked stakeholders to send more comments by April 22.
