Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odessa, killing one person, with others possibly still trapped under rubble, the Ukrainian military said on Friday. The military's Southern Forces, in a post on the Telegram messaging app, said it had intercepted nine drones, but one of them struck an area near the port and triggered a fire. Firefighters recovered one body and said other residents might still be under the rubble as emergency teams worked to bring the blaze under control. A female security guard was rescued unharmed from a building, the post said.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday asked a federal judge to dismiss criminal charges accusing him of illegally holding onto sensitive U.S. national security documents when he left office, arguing the prosecution is legally flawed. Trump has pleaded not guilty to a 40-count indictment in Florida federal court accusing him of illegally retaining classified documents at his Florida resort after leaving office in 2021 and obstructing U.S. government attempts to retrieve them.

ABB India surged 9% to close at Rs 5,439 as analysts at most top brokerages raised or retained share price targets on the stock after the company reported strong profit in third-quarter results. The revised average analyst price target on ABB India available on Bloomberg after the third-quarter results was Rs 5147.42, implying a downside of 5.36% over Thursday’s closing. “We see ABB as a perfect trifecta of automation, electrification, premiumisation,” said Nomura’s analysts in a client note. ABB shares jumped 20% in the previous two trading sessions. Analysts at Kotak Securities said that the pace of execution is likely to moderate due to the increased execution period since large orders have doubled. But margins are likely to be resilient bolstered by premiumisation, higher utilisation, and value-based pricing. “Order inflow growth remains constrained by select sectors firing. The pace of execution may moderate further while margin may remain resilient,” said Kotak Securities in a note.
