indices extended their winning run for the sixth straight day on Friday, bucking the weakness in other Asian markets, as gains in private lenders and power companies helped the market maintain the bullish momentum. The Sensex and Nifty closed at the highest level since July 20 and posted their biggest weekly gains in six weeks. The Sensex rose 333.35 points, or 0.50%, to close at 66,598.91.

₹9,850 crore of Indian equities, while they sold ₹10,074.71 crore --- resulting in an outflow of ₹224.22 crore. Meanwhile, DIIs infused ₹8,324.05 crore and offloaded ₹7,173.90 crore, registering an inflow of ₹1,150.15 crore. In September so far, FIIs have sold in the cash market for ₹8,608 crore and DIIs have bought for ₹5,715 crore.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 2.96 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.01 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.94 per cent) stood among the top gainers. On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 92.9 points up at 19819.95 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters. The BSE Sensex gained 333 points or 0.50% to end at 66,599, while Nifty50 rose 93 points or 0.47% to closed at 19,820 in Friday's trade. This week, the 30-share benchmark index advanced 1,211 points or 1.85% to settle at 66,599. The broader NSE Nifty rose 384 points or 1.97% and ended at 19,820.

Cochin Shipyard share price surged almost 10 per cent in morning trade on Friday to hit their fresh all-time high of ₹1,258 on BSE. Tube Investments of India Ltd. gained 1.36 per cent to Rs 3290.25 in Friday's session as of 10:15AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 204.74 points higher at 66470.3. Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap down start to the session.

Call writing is seen at 20000 and then towards 19900 strikes while Put writing is seen at 19600 and then towards 19500 strikes. “Options data suggests a shift in broader trading range in between 19400 to 20000 zones while an immediate trading range in between 19500 to 19900 zones,” Chandan Taparia, Analyst-Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, said. “Nifty formed a strong Bullish candle on the daily frame on Thursday with a longer lower shadow indicating strong support-based buying.
