Rise in IT stocks due to easing interest rate concerns in the US was offset by a late slide in banking and financial stocks.The BSE Sensex gained a nominal 11 points or 0.02% to settle at 65,087. The broader NSE Nifty rose 5 points or 0.02% to end at 19,347. From the Sensex pack, Jio Financial Services closed in 5% upper circuit for the second straight day.

Nifty ended flat on Wednesday dragged by losses led by banking and financial heavyweights amid weak global cues as investors remained cautious ahead of key macro numbers in the US and India. The Q2 GDP numbers of the US are expected to be released today while the PCE price index data is due on Thursday, and the non-farm payrolls report is expected on Friday.

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. traded at Rs 2454.65 on BSE at 02:10PM (IST) on Wednesday, down 1.28 per cent.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. traded 0.59 per cent up at Rs 304.2 at 01:24PM (IST) on Wednesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 339.42 points to 65415.24.

Ambuja Cements Ltd. traded 0.88 per cent up at Rs 444.85 at 01:19PM (IST) on Wednesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 331.27 points to 65407.09. The stock had settled at Rs 440.95 in the previous session.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. traded at Rs 266.55 on BSE at 01:29PM (IST) on Wednesday, up 0.66 per cent.

Varun Beverages Ltd. rose 0.78 per cent to Rs 895.4 in Wednesday's trade.

SRF Ltd. rose 0.46 per cent to Rs 2385.0 in Wednesday's trade.

Page Industries Ltd. gained 0.46 per cent to Rs 39751.75 at 12:28PM (IST) in Wednesday's trade.

Trent Ltd. gained 0.73 per cent to Rs 2065.95 at 12:18PM (IST) in Wednesday's trade.

In the last one month of consolidation at the level of Nifty and Sensex, bulls have not given control of one space “ mid-cap space”. The internal breadth of the majority of sectoral indices are on the positive side on most of the day even when nifty is correcting.

Vedanta Ltd. gained 0.33 per cent to Rs 237.8 in Wednesday's session as of 11:47AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 341.73 points higher at 65417.55. Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session.

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. rose 0.69 per cent to Rs 1020.5 in Wednesday's trade.

Reliance Power(up 6.30%), RTNPOWER(up 5.04%), Suzlon Energy(up 4.87%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.38%), Inox wind(up 4.35%), Energy Development Company(up 3.16%), Inox Wind Energy(up 2.61%), PTC India(up 2.51%), Karma Energy(up 1.90%) and SJVN(up 1.38%) were among the top gainers. Alstom T&D India(down 4.50%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 1.60%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.19%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.12%), KEC International(down 0.95%), Torrent Power(down 0.92%), Adani Energy Solutions(down 0.52%), JSW Energy(down 0.51%), NHPC(down 0.29%) and ADANIGREEN(down 0.27%) were among the top losers. The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 103.1 points up at 19445.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 352.64 points at 65428.46 at around 11:25AM. Tata Steel(up 2.34%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.59%), Axis Bank(up 1.43%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.41%), Cipla(up 1.22%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.15%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.1%), JSW Steel(up 1.09%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.07%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.01%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.28%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.19%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.4%), Coal India(down 0.11%), Britannia Industries(down 0.09%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.08%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.07%) were trading in the red.

₹232.70 apiece on the BSE. On NSE, JFSL shares were also at 5% upper circuit limit at ₹231.25 apiece, becoming the top Nifty gainer. According to ET Now report, promoter entity Jamnagar Utilities and Power, a step-down unit of Reliance Industries (RIL), likely bought about 5 crore Jio Financial Services shares at ₹208-211 apiece.

Tube Investments of India Ltd. gained 0.2 per cent to Rs 2870.6 at 11:16AM (IST) in Wednesday's trade.

Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.75%), Oriental Trimex(down 0.68%) and Coal India(down 0.11%) were among the top losers. The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 106.0 points up at 19448.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 354.43 points at 65430.25 at around 11:20AM. TVS Motor Company(up 2.74 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 1.25 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.1 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 1.04 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.92 per cent) were among the top gainers. Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 0.71 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.24 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.71 per cent at 15688.9 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 105.45 points at 19448.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 371.46 points at 65447.28. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, Zomato, Suzlon Energy, JP Power and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Pritika Engineering, Ameya Precision Engi, Shakti Pumps, Delta Manufacturing and P E Analytics hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Proventus Agrocom, BKM Industries, Rajnandini Metal and Rajesh Exports hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.

PI Industries Ltd. dropped 0.14 per cent to Rs 3697.8 at 11:21AM (IST) in Wednesday's trade.

MPhasis(up 1.36 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 1.3 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 1.19 per cent), L&T Technology(up 1.15 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.75 per cent) were among the top gainers. Coforge(down 0.32 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty IT index was up 0.7 per cent at 31082.2 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 102.9 points at 19445.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 368.8 points at 65444.62. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, Zomato, Suzlon Energy, JP Power and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
