Torrent Group has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore market capitalisation as it's power units EV push and pharma company's recent acquisitions fuelled a rally in stocks. The combined market capitalisation of its two listed group companies — Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark in trading on Monday, according to stock exchange information. Torrent Pharmaceuticals shares hit an intra-day high of Rs 2,014.8 before closing at Rs 2,010 on the NSE.

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd. dropped 0.14 per cent to Rs 7512.55 at 12:28PM (IST) in Monday's trade. The stock has hit a high of Rs 7542.75 and low of Rs 7428.45 so far during the session.

Voltas Ltd. traded 1.51 per cent up at Rs 774.45 at 12:33PM (IST) on Monday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 145.86 points to 66306.06. The scrip had settled at Rs 763.0 in the previous session.

Page Industries Ltd. traded at Rs 37950.15 on BSE at 12:13PM (IST) on Monday, up 1.73 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 34968.6 and a high of Rs 54262.3.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. traded 0.41 per cent higher in Monday's session at 11:27AM (IST).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 48.65 points up at 19694.7, while BSE Sensex was up 176.36 points at 66336.56 at the time of writing this report. Marico Ltd, a leading FMCG company in India, reported a significant 15% rise in its consolidated net profit, reaching ₹436 crore for the first quarter ending on June 30, 2024. This marks a notable improvement compared to the ₹377 crore net profit posted in the same April-June quarter of the previous year, as stated in the regulatory filing by Marico.However, the company experienced a decline in its revenue from operations, which decreased by 3.16% to ₹2,477 crore during the current quarter, compared to ₹2,558 crore recorded in the corresponding period a year ago.Marico attributed the growth in its gross margin to surpassing internal expectations, expanding by 494 basis points (bps) year-on-year and 257 bps sequentially.
