Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said Mughals, British and other rulers failed to wipe out the Sanatan Dharma from the country in the past, but eradicating it is now the agenda of the INDIA alliance, and hence Hindus need to wake up and show the opposition bloc its place. A group of girl students Tuesday vandalised the vehicle of the block education officer in Vaishali district of Bihar alleging lack of facilities and poor seating arrangement in their school, ANI reported. A video of the students creating a ruckus has also gone viral on social media. The viral video shows the girls encircling the vehicle of the block education officer and throwing stones on it.

Disney Star has collaborated with digital storytelling platform Pratilipi for a first-of-its-kind multi-series content deal that will allow the former to develop multiple new fiction television shows adapted from stories available on the latter's platform. The content produced as part of the association would be broadcast across languages on Disney Star’s TV and digital platforms. This will be the first time a TV series will be adapted and developed on an online self-publishing and audiobook platform. Stories on Pratilipi have an extensive readership and listener base that extends up to 15 million subscribers.

The SBI's latest research report has stated that it has analysed the EPFO payroll data trends for the last four years, net new EPF subscriber addition during FY20 to FY23 was 4.86 crore The research report further stated that the EPFO payroll data in the first quarter of the current financial year, the trend is quite encouraging. It further sated that already 44 lakh net new EPF subscribers joined, of which first payroll were 19.2 lakh. If this trend continues for the whole fiscal then in FY24, the net new payroll cross the 160 lakh mark (highest-ever) with first payroll in the range of 70-80 lakh.

Social media giant X (formerly Twitter) has made the changes to the Like button ahead of Apple's Wonderlust event. The Wonderlust event will see the launch of top-of-the-line products including the iPhone 15 series, the new Apple Watch series and AirPods Pro with USB-C. The Like button splits into similar pieces before returning to the heart shape, very much like the animation seen in Apple's teaser for the Wonderlust event.

PMS funds under these categories retain their outperformance versus largecaps. In August, benchmark Sensex shed more than 2%, whereas the BSE midcap and smallcap indices hit fresh highs. While largecap funds gave up to 6% returns in August, smallcap and midcap funds gave returns of up to 12%, data by PMS Bazaar showed. Electrum Portfolio Managers’ midcap and smallcap portfolio, Electrum Laureate, gave the highest monthly returns of nearly 12% in August. In just 6 months, it has given a staggering 43% returns. Following Electrum was Motilal Oswal’s two of the midcap and smallcap strategies, which gave nearly 10% returns each in the month of August. Roha Asset Managers’ Emerging Champions gave over 4% returns in August, but on a 6-month basis, this strategy has given handsome returns of 48%. AlfAccurate Advisors, Ambit Investment Advisors, Sunil Singhania-owned Abakkus Asset Managers’ Emerging Opportunities, InCred PMS, PhillipCapital, and Karma Capital’s Lotus were the other midcap and smallcap funds to give returns to the tune of 2-5%. Multicap category funds also did quite well in the last month, and the top performers were Samvitti Capital, Invasset LLP, Avestha Fund Management, Agreya Capital Advisors, and Bonanza Portfolio, giving 8-14% returns to investors. Eventhough profit booking was seen in largecap stocks last month, some of the largecap funds managed to give positive returns.

Bharat Electronics Ltd. traded 6.56 per cent down at Rs 135.25 at 02:04PM (IST) on Tuesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 68.79 points to 67195.87.
