Members of the Meitei tribe living in Mizoram have reportedly opted to flee the state amid growing unrest in neighbouring Manipur. Even as Indian goods exports to the rest of the world are slowing, engineering goods exports to Russia and other CIS countries have registered a sharp uptick, jumping nearly three times from June last year, exporters said. New Delhi: More corporate filings are being made in the revamped version of the MCA21 portal this year than in the year before, the ministry of corporate affairs said in an official update. Since the beginning of April 2023, upto 16 July, over 168,600 forms for incorporating companies have been filed, which is higher than the previous year's count of 148,188 in the same period, the ministry said.

Indraprastha Gas on July 23 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 522 crore for the first quarter that ended June 2023. This is an increase of 8.47% from Rs 481.2 crore clocked in the corresponding quarter of last year. Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,761.85 crore in Q1 FY24, up 6.55% YoY compared to Rs 3,530.3 crore in Q1 FY23.

The despicable May 4 incident in Kangpokpi district, where two women were paraded naked and assaulted by several people, was among the spate of sexual attacks that occurred after a picture of a body wrapped in polythene was circulated in the Imphal valley with a false claim that the victim had been murdered by tribals in Churachandpur.

Crypto analyst ErgoBTC has raised serious questions about the backing of TRC20 BTC tokens on the Tron network in a series of tweets. The analyst suggests that 60,000 of these tokens, currently parked in the JustLend protocol, appear to have never been backed. India’s engineering exports to major markets like the United States, the European Union (EU) and China continued to decline in June 2023, reflecting a challenging global trade environment, EEPC India said. The country’s shipments to West Asia and North Africa (WANA), North East Asia, and CIS countries, however, showed positive growth during the same period, the Engineering Exports Promotion Council of India (EEPC) said.
