ISRO on Monday said the Chandrayaan-3 mission's lander module has established communication with the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, and released images of the lunar far side area captured by the Lander Hazard Detection and Avoidance Camera (LHDAC). Referring to the expected touchdown, former ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair kept his fingers crossed and said it's a very complex manoeuvre and one has to be cautious as all systems have to work in unison for its success. Nair, who headed the space agency when Chandrayaan-1 mission was launched in 2008, said a successful landing would herald a big beginning for ISRO's next phase of planetary exploration.

Paytm on Monday said it is investing in AI to build an Artificial General Intelligence software stack. In the annual report for FY23, the company's CEO Vijay Shekar Sharma said Paytm pioneered mobile payments in India and led mass adoption with innovations like QR Codes and Soundbox. He said Paytm’s next contribution will be small mobile credit with high credit quality and fully compliant with the regulators guidelines.

Nayar and Banga were formerly associated with KKR. Nayar founded Sorin after a four-decade career spanning banking and private equity. Nayar and Banga have also invested a significant amount of their personal capital in the fund as sponsor commitments, they said in an earlier interview without disclosing the sum. The fund focuses on early-stage technology startups across various industries like fintech, edtech, software as a service (Saas), logistics, clean technologies and direct-to-consumer products and brands. It aims to invest between $2-10 million in target companies.
