The price of Ether (ETH) declined 9.8% between Feb. 19 and Feb. 25 after the price resistance at $1,725 proved stronger than expected. Still, the correction was insufficient to break the 6-week-long ascending channel and did not cause Ether derivatives metrics to turn bearish.

The Solana network experienced a noticeable slowdown in block production after its most recent 1.14 network update on Feb. 25. In an immediate response to transaction disruptions, validators downgraded the software to up performance levels.

Layer-2 scaling solution Polygon (MATIC) has not processed a block in over an hour and a half, leading some to believe that the blockchain network could be suffering from an outage.

Communications protocol Helium Network has defined March 27 as the date for its migration to the Solana blockchain and deployment of Oracles, seeking to improve scalability and reliability.

Solana (SOL), the cryptocurrency that powers Solana’s high-performance smart-contract-enabled blockchain, saw an impressive $830 million in trading volumes on Thursday, according to data presented by crypto analytics platform Token Terminal. That was the second-highest daily trading volume in two weeks, with only Wednesday (the 15th of February) clocking in ahead with volumes of $850 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose 3.11% to $23,788, while Ethereum (ETH) was above the $1,600 level. BTC volume in the last 24 hours stood at approximately $30.58 billion, rising 37.16% in the last 24 hours. «Bitcoin traded above $23,900 after reaching a low of $22,874 the previous day. A potential upward trend towards $24,000 and then $25,000 is possible if the market stays favourable. Meanwhile, Ethereum broke above $1,600, with support at that level and resistance at $1,700,» Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO at Mudrex, said. Other top crypto tokens were also trading higher. Polygon rose 12.35%. Solana, Avalanche, Cardano and BNB were also trading with gains.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose 2% to $23,700, whereas Ethereum (ETH) was above the $1,600 level. BTC volume in the last 24 hours stood at approximately $25.72 billion, rising 46.95% in the last 24 hours. «BTC gained 2% in the past 24 hours and is currently trading above the US$23,600 level. If bulls can hold BTC above the current level, the impulse may continue towards US$24,000 and US$25,000 soon. The volume is also high, indicating the buyers' strength in the market,» Edul Patel, CEO and Co-Founder of Mudrex said. Other top crypto tokens were also trading higher. Solana rose 6%. Polkadot Shiba Inu, Dogecoin and BNB were also trading with gains. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading around $1.07 trillion, rising 1.54% in the last 24 hours.

SOL, the cryptocurrency that powers the high-performance smart-contract-enabled Solana blockchain, has been edging lower in tandem with the broader cryptocurrency market on Monday and price predictions are becoming more pessimistic. Despite the uninspired price action, a lot of trading is taking place under the hood. According to CoinMarketCap, Solana saw more than $600 million in trade volumes over the past 24 hours, the tenth most of any cryptocurrency.

Solana decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Everlend Finance is closing down its operations and urging clients to withdraw funds from the platform.

Solana, the world’s 12th largest cryptocurrency boasting $9.2 billion in market capitalization, has continued to turn heads with its exemplary performance since late December. Although the launch of BONK Inu (BONK) the first meme coin on the Solana blockchain ignited the rally, SOL has been able to sustain it for nearly six weeks. Solana price now trades at $25.00 after a 6.3% increase in 24 hours.

Solend is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol built on Solana. It is lauded for expanding the methods available for Solana users to boost financial gains. Filling a large gap in the Solana ecosystem, Solend drew a staggering $100 million in deposits in just over a month post-launch.

The rally in cryptocurrency markets started in early January with a spike in heavily-shorted altcoins and Ethereum (ETH) liquid staking derivative (LSD) tokens due to the upcoming network upgrade in March. Soon gains started to show across the board as buyers started to play catch up. 

Despite the recent negative crypto and macroeconomic newsflow, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization broke above $1 trillion on Jan. 21. An encouraging sign is that derivatives metrics are not showing increased demand from bearish traders at the moment. 

Aptos’ APT reached a new all-time high of $20.39 after posting gains exceeding 400% since the start of 2023. While the rally could just be a pump-and-dump event due to the perception of weak fundamentals, increasing negative sentiment toward the token will likely fuel the prices in the short term.

Solana decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Friktion is shutting down its user interface and urging customers to withdraw their assets from the protocol, according to a statement on Jan. 26. 

It's been an explosive month for SOL, the cryptocurrency that powers Solana’s high-performance layer-1 blockchain protocol. The cryptocurrency was last trading higher by about 145% on the month in the mid-$24.00s and is up an even more impressive more than 200% versus its end of December 2022 lows under $8.0 per token.
