Each section of the modernized GRE test has also undergone change. The number of questions in the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections have been reduced from 40 to 27 and the unscored sections of the test will also be phased out as of September 22. Further, the «Analyse an Argument» task in the Analytical Writing section has been eliminated and from now on the test will contain only one Analytical Writing essay, “Analyse an Issue.”
