markets Target FIVE Manufacturing President blues stars Re-opening of white goods PLI scheme likely to see muted response
PLI) scheme for white goods such as AC and LED lights is likely to see muted response as several large manufacturers are not going to file fresh investment proposals under it, industry executives said. This third round was opened on July 15 and will close on October 12 to attract additional investment for production of components. Chief executives of five large manufacturers, who are exiting beneficiaries of this PLI scheme, said the tenure of the scheme for availing incentives remains same till 2028-29 for the third round applicants as those in the earlier two rounds, which does not make it worthwhile since it takes almost two years to start a factory after approval. Also, the third round has also not changed the clause for PLI applications that a single company may apply for any one category. The chief executives said to make a fresh investment commitment, they need to change their corporate structure which makes no sense since most of the technological collaborations are already with the existing entity.

markets IPO Target Analysis Trade rights Rupesh D Sankhe on NTPC Renewables IPO growth prospects
«Only the large companies like NTPC, Tata Power with a strong balance sheet or NHPC, JSW Energy, they can only support this kind of incremental capex which are required beyond 2032, close to 4 lakh, 5 lakh crore kind of opportunity,» says Rupesh D Sankhe, Elara Capital. To begin with, there is debate out on the street whether this IPO of NTPC Renewables is the best thing to do or is it the right time to do or not? What is your take on the same? Rupesh D Sankhe: If you look at their capacity addition target by 2032, it is close to 60 gigawatt capacity. So, current operational capacity is just 3.2 gigawatt and they cannot support more than 2 gigawatt per annum. So, definitely the incremental cash flows will come at around 2,500. It will not add significant growth in their capacity addition for next two to three years.

markets Target Digital Platform Strategy Align Customers Treat your customers as RoIlty
customer satisfaction and acquisition while making every marketing dollar count. This emphasis on strategy alignment empowers us to shape the future of marketing in banks. Banks are increasingly investing in corporate branding, celebrity endorsements and targeted marketing for segments like startups and MSMEs to drive digital adoption. The ability to execute swift, need-based marketing campaigns is crucial. For banks focused on deepening customer engagement and loyalty, embedding marketing at the core of their transformation strategy is imperative. As a result, some banks have increased marketing spend to 30-40% y-o-y. However, organisations are struggling to get the desired RoI. Convergence of traditional (TV ads, etc) and digital marketing (online ads, etc) platforms is critical to improving marketing RoI. Linking brand and marketing efforts to enterprise value — driven by revenue growth, customer loyalty in the short-to-medium term, and brand equity over the long term — is essential.

Hezbollah launched more than 100 rockets early Sunday across northern Israel, with some landing near the city of Haifa, as Israel launched hundreds of strikes on Lebanon. A Hezbollah leader declared an «open-ended battle of reckoning» was underway as both sides appeared to be spiraling closer toward all-out war. The overnight rocket barrage was in response to Israeli attacks in Lebanon that have killed dozens, including a veteran Hezbollah commander, and an unprecedented attack targeting the group's communications devices. Air raid sirens across northern Israel sent hundreds of thousands of people scrambling into shelters. One rocket struck near a residential building in Kiryat Bialik, a city near Haifa, wounding at least three people and setting buildings and cars on fire. Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service said four people were wounded by shrapnel in the barrage.

markets Target Citizens Strategy War Why Israel's pager bombs have no place in a just war
Hezbollah in Lebanon were certainly an espionage and technological coup. Few people on the spot or reading about them from far away could fail to be amazed. But the explosions on Tuesday and Wednesday were also very likely war crimes — terrorist attacks by a state that has consistently condemned terrorist attacks on its own citizens. Yes, the devices most probably were being used by Hezbollah operatives for military purposes. This might make them a legitimate target in the continuous cross-border battles between Israel and Hezbollah. But the attacks, which killed at least 37 people and wounded thousands of others, came when the operatives were not operating; they had not been mobilized and they were not militarily engaged. Rather, they were at home with their families, sitting in cafes, shopping in food markets — among civilians who were randomly killed and injured. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied responsibility for the attacks but is widely believed to be behind them. If those allegations are true, it is important for friends of Israel to say: This was not right.
