Fraudsters are enticing victims through online trading courses, seminars, and mentorship programs in the stock market, leveraging social media platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram, as well as live broadcasts, the regulator said.

Russian drone crashed into a residential building in the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa late Friday, killing one person and severely injuring at least three others, authorities said. Ukraine's military confirmed the drone was one of five it downed over the Odesa region amid a wave of nighttime aerial assaults. «One of the downed drones crashed into a residential area of Odesa, causing destruction and a fire in an Odesa courtyard,» defence officials posted on Telegram.

Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odessa, killing one person, with others possibly still trapped under rubble, the Ukrainian military said on Friday. The military's Southern Forces, in a post on the Telegram messaging app, said it had intercepted nine drones, but one of them struck an area near the port and triggered a fire. Firefighters recovered one body and said other residents might still be under the rubble as emergency teams worked to bring the blaze under control. A female security guard was rescued unharmed from a building, the post said.

Alexei Navalny, who was known as the most vociferous critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and survived multiple assassination attempts died on Friday at a remote Arctic penal colony. The prison services said that Alexei Navalny collapsed after a walk and couldn't be saved despite resuscitation attempts by the medics. His death evoked a strong response from the world as global leaders and activists blamed Vladimir Putin for his death.

Alexei Navalny's spokesperson confirmed on Saturday that the Russian opposition leader had died at a remote Arctic penal colony and said he was «murdered», but it is unclear where his body is. An official note handed to Navalny's mother stated that he died at 2:17 pm local time on Friday, Kira Yarmysh said. She added that an employee of the prison colony said that Navalny's body was taken to the nearby city of Salekhard as part of a probe into his death.

Ukraine on Saturday, the country's air force chief said. «On the morning of February 17, 2024, in the eastern (sector), units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three enemy aircraft at once — two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter,» Mykola Oleshchuk wrote on Telegram.
