Tesla said on Monday that Zachary Kirkhorn stepped down as its chief financial officer and named Vaibhav Taneja as its new finance chief. Taneja takes on the CFO role in addition to his role as chief accounting officer, the automaker said.

The exchange began when Musk, the owner of X, responded to a tweet discussing Meta's plans to release a Twitter competitor named Threads. Musk playfully criticized the potential monopoly of the social media landscape by Zuckerberg, prompting one user to joke about Zuckerberg's jiu jitsu skills. Musk's response was lighthearted, expressing his willingness for a cage match if Zuckerberg was game. Musk's interest in streaming the potential fight aligns with his goal of transforming X into a «digital town square.» However, his previous attempt to use the platform for high-profile events encountered technical glitches and delays.
