Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. traded 0.11 per cent up at Rs 251.6 at 10:41AM (IST) on Friday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 622.39 points to 72343.57. The scrip had closed at Rs 251.3 in the previous session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 161.96 points up at 21809.15, while BSE Sensex was up 606.71 points at 72327.89 as of 10:40AM(IST)on January 12. In the Nifty index, Infosys Ltd.(up 7.21 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 4.60 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 4.37 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 3.90 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 3.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services, Dalal Street investors’ attention will shift to HCLTech and Wipro, who will release their quarterly numbers later today. Brushing off the seasonality factor, HCLTech is expected to report strong earnings for the December quarter, while Wipro may continue to disappoint the market. If we look at the performance of HCLTech and Wipro stocks in the last quarter, then the former has rallied nearly 19% and the latter about 16%. Entering into the new year, HCLTech shares are still holding on to gains, whereas the frenzy fizzled out in Wipro as the stock has corrected about 5% so far this month. Whether Wipro shares will correct further or HCLTech shares sustain the upward momentum depends upon their earnings scorecard.

DLF Ltd. gained 1.41 per cent to Rs 808.6 in Friday's trade as of 10:25AM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 811.15 and low of Rs 796.6 during the session.

BSE at 10:30AM (IST) on Friday, up 1.36 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 557.15 and a high of Rs 958.0. Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.
