markets UPS Flushing reports International Erratic weather steals Darjeeling tea’s muscatel flavor, prices plummet
muscatel flavour for which Darjeeling tea is known worldwide has been missing this year due to erratic weather conditions. Tea planters and traders said that Indian consumers are drinking Darjeeling tea which is being sold with muscatel flavour even though there is hardly any presence of the unique flavour in them. In the international markets prices of Darjeeling tea have fallen by up to 50 per cent for the second flush due to the absence of muscatel flavour. Darjeeling tea's muscatel flavour is a unique, sweet, and floral taste that's hard to describe, but prized by tea connoisseurs. Muscatel tea has a musky aroma and a unique muscat-like fruitiness. Some say it has a sweet, floral, and fruity flavour, with notes of raisins and a muscatel finish. Others say it has a medium-bodied taste with notes of nectarines and muscatel grapes. Muscatel tea can be a dark amber colour.

UPS Remark film stars reports Scandals Kangana Ranaut opens up on Bollywood's dirty secrets amid Kerala film industry scandal
Kangana Ranaut has never shied away from speaking her mind. The actress-politician spoke at length about the recent scandals that have plagued the Malayalam film fraternity. Commenting on the findings of the Hema Committee, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ star said that the report should have been released much earlier, at the height of the #MeToo movement. When questioned about how the report has drawn widespread attention to the issue of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry, Kangana remarked that she was branded as «problematic» when she attempted to do the same. She mentioned that her goal was to empower women who spoke out about being assaulted by influential figures in the industry, but many of those women later withdrew their accusations. Kangana revealed that she was «abandoned» to face all the criticism alone when some of these women either stopped speaking out, retracted their complaints, or even resumed working with their abusers.

UPS Provident Election show performer RBI Guv Shaktikanta Das attributes India's Q1 GDP fall to EC model code of conduct, reduced spending; says 'growth story is intact'
economic growth decelerated to 6.7% in the April-June quarter of 2024, marking a 15-month low. This slowdown contrasts sharply with the 8.2% growth recorded in the same period last year. According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das, the primary reason for this slowdown was reduced government spending due to the enforcement of the model code of conduct during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Das noted, «The Reserve Bank projected a growth rate of 7.1% for the first quarter. However, the first advance estimation data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) showed the growth rate at 6.7%.»

UPS Research Universities show social Features After elephants, monkeys show ability to 'name' each other, reveals new study
marmoset monkeys, native to South America, use specific vocal calls, known as «phee-calls,» to identify and communicate with each other. The study, which adds to existing knowledge of animal communication, was conducted by a team from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and published in the journal Science. This finding follows earlier research that showed wild African elephants also use name-like calls to address individuals. David Omer, lead researcher from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, explained that the study recorded natural conversations between pairs of marmosets and interactions between monkeys and a computer system. The researchers found that marmosets specifically used «phee-calls» to address individual members of their group, and these calls were correctly perceived and responded to by the intended recipients. «They (the monkeys) also perceived and responded correctly to calls that were specifically directed at them,» the authors wrote.
