Rich Lister Raphael Geminder’s Kin Group, which is attempting to buy out the other half of troubled packaging company Pact, has lashed out at an independent expert report which labelled the offer “neither fair nor reasonable”.

Exponent Energy is set to shortly close its first funding round in more than a year by raising $25 million at a valuation of $100-120 million, multiple people briefed on the development said. The round will be led by Fidelity-backed global investor Eight Roads, which has invested in Indian startups such as Pharmeasy, Whatfix, Shadowfax and Icertis. Exponent Energy’s existing investors including Lightspeed India and AdvantEdge VC will also take part in the round, the people cited above said.

Adani Total Gas Ltd is the first of the group's seven listed firms to reach that price, having been alerted to an 85% downside in Adani shares nine months ago by US short seller Hindenburg Research. The conglomerate's city-gas distributor's shares fell 2.6% to 575.7 rupees on Monday, extending their losses from their closing price of 3,891.75 rupees on January 24 to 85%, according to Bloomberg report.

Torrent Pharma’s bid to acquire the stake of the promoter, the Hamied family, in Cipla has stalled over valuation differences, said people with knowledge of the matter.
