The protesters have been camping at the Khanauri and Shambhu points on the Punjab-Haryana border since February 13, after their initial march to the national capital was halted by security personnel. Efforts to Cancel Passports and Visas DSP Ambala Joginder Sharma stated, «We have identified those involved in violence coming to Haryana from Punjab in the name of farmers' protest. We have identified them with CCTV cameras and drone cameras. We will request the Ministry and embassy to cancel their Visas and passports… Their photos, name and address will be given to the passport office. We are working on canceling their passports.»

TMC leader and main accused in Sandeshkhali case, Sheikh Shahjahan has reportedly been arrested by the West Bengal Police.
