markets Waves WhatsApp country When push comes to sell, every high has a downside
Indian equities ended the financial year to March 31 on a positive note, but gains were modest against the previous fiscal year and compared with many other global markets. A wave of selling pressure from foreigners in the second-half of April-March eroded most of the gains, pushing indices to multi-month lows and denting overall sentiment. India, the world’s fifth-largest equity market in value, lagged behind more than six major global markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, China, the UK, Taiwan and the US as foreign investors turned bearish on India on account of slowing growth concerns and expensive share valuations.

COST WhatsApp Trade performer Sporting bowling Big mistake? Browns owner Jimmy Haslam finally says team made a poor judgement call while trading for Deshaun Watson
Cleveland Browns’ decision to trade for quarterback Deshaun Watson in 2022 has become a textbook example of how not to manage a franchise. Watson, acquired amid 26 sexual misconduct lawsuits (later settled), arrived with baggage that overshadowed his Pro Bowl past. His tenure began with an 11-game suspension, followed by erratic play and season-ending injuries—including a 2023 shoulder fracture and a torn Achilles in January 2024. Despite ranking among the NFL’s worst starters, the Browns stubbornly kept him on the field, driven by a desperate hope to justify trading three first-round picks and guaranteeing his $230 million contract. At the NFL’s annual spring meetings, owner Jimmy Haslam finally admitted the trade was a mistake—a sentiment fans and analysts had echoed for years. Critics argue the organization prioritized sunk costs over accountability, damaging its reputation while wasting prime seasons. Dee Haslam, Jimmy’s wife and co-owner, pointed to Watson’s injuries as a key factor in his downfall, though many saw this as deflection from deeper organizational flaws.

WhatsApp President isolate rowing Bihar: Chirag's party blames Paras for 'ill-treatment' of Ram Vilas Paswan's wife
Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on Monday blamed his estranged uncle and political rival Pashupati Kumar Paras for alleged mistreatment meted out to his late father's first wife. According to LJP(RV) state president Raju Tiwari, the wives of Paras and his deceased younger brother Ram Chandra Paswan recently tried to evict Rajkumari Devi from their ancestral house in Khagaria district of Bihar. The Union minister's late father Ram Vilas Paswan had tied the knot with Rajkumari Devi more than 20 years before marrying his mother Reena, who was based in Delhi. According to Tiwari, «As soon as our national president learnt of the episode, he asked his nephew Prince Paswan to visit their ancestral village Sahar Banni and take stock of the situation.» «We have been told that the room allotted to Rajkumari Devi has been locked and she is being asked to leave. Paras, who claims to worship late Paswan, is behind the humiliation of bhabhi (sister-in-law), who is old and does not enjoy good health. But, we stand in her support,» said Tiwari. No complaint has, so far, been lodged with the police in this regard and Paras, who heads the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, could not be reached for comments.

COST UPS WhatsApp Research Experts Certificates of deposit issuance by banks up 34% amid March rush
certificates of deposit (CDs) to meet the surge in credit demand in March. According to data from CDSL, banks raised ₹2.25 lakh crore through CDs in March 2025, nearly double of the ₹1.26 lakh crore in the same month the previous year. Experts attribute this surge in CD borrowing to tighter liquidity conditions and slower deposit growth amid rising credit demand. Notably, IndusInd Bank borrowed over six times its usual CD amount to counter deposit outflows, raising ₹16,550 crore in March 2025, compared with ₹2,500 crore in the same month last year. «Issuances of CDs by banks have accelerated in March owing to year-end asset liability management,» said Karan Gupta, head and director financial institutions, India Ratings. «We expect certificates of deposit issues to moderate in the June quarter owing to a sharp improvement in the liquidity conditions coupled with the seasonally generally soft demand for credit in the first quarter.»

WhatsApp rights Eid prayers held at Eidgah and Jama Masjid of Kashmir during peak militancy, why restrictions in times of 'normalcy', asks Mirwaiz Umar Farooq
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday condemned the authorities decision to disallow Eid Prayers at Eidgah and historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar. Mirwaiz said that even at the peak of militancy in 1990's Eid prayers were offered at Eidgah but today when authorities make tall claims of 'normalcy' why are Muslims kept away from their religious places and practices. «I am deeply pained and strongly condemn the authorities decision to once again deny the Muslims of Kashmir the basic right to offer Eid prayers at the central Eidgah and Jama Masjid, which have been closed down,» said Mirwaiz. The Hurriyat leader said that the authorities didn't allow Shab e Qadr prayers and Jumma tul Vida prayers at Jama Masjid during the holy month of Ramazan. «Even at the peak of militancy during the 1990s, Eid prayers were offered at Eidgah, so now when huge claims of “normalcy” are made every day by the authorities, it is incomprehensible why Muslims are being kept away from their religious places and practices,» said Mirwaiz, asking, «What is the agenda behind such restrictions.»
