In an interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the 31-year-old revealed that she first saw a therapist when she was just eight after her parents’ divorce. However, she felt that she was not really mature enough to “process things”. But as she is growing older, she finds her therapist has been “everything” to her.
Ariana has previously spoken about how therapy helped her cope with the emotional toll of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, which tragically claimed 22 lives during her concert. She also faced further heartbreak with the passing of her ex, rapper Mac Miller, from an accidental drug overdose in 2018.
She emphasized the importance of therapy, stating, «Therapy has saved my life. That is why I am so passionate about making therapy and mental health services available for all. It shouldn’t just be for those that can afford it.»
