Mamma Mia 3 has emerged from an unexpected source. Judy Craymer, the film producer behind the beloved musical franchise, has recently affirmed that the much-anticipated sequel is indeed in the works, adding fuel to the fervor among fans who have eagerly awaited the next chapter in the Mamma Mia series.
Originally gracing screens in 2008, the Mamma Mia film garnered immense popularity, featuring a star-studded cast including renowned Hollywood figures such as Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, and Colin Firth.
While the lineup for the upcoming ABBA-infused installment remains undisclosed, the confirmation of the third movie arrived through a surprising revelation from none other than the acclaimed comedian Alan Carr.
During an interview on Capital Breakfast while discussing his involvement in the reality competition show «Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream,» Carr inadvertently divulged insider information about the impending Mamma Mia 3 project. Alongside fellow judges Jessie Ware, Samantha Barks, and Amber Riley, Carr is currently engaged in the quest to find the next star to play Sophie in Mamma Mia! on the renowned West End stage.
In a lighthearted exchange with hosts Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Carr playfully hinted at his own potential involvement in the franchise, playfully teasing, «I'm going to Hollywood baby!» The revelation prompted Sian to seek clarification regarding his role in the film, to which Carr enthusiastically affirmed his participation in the upcoming movie, citing Judy Craymer's enthusiastic backing.
Judy Craymer herself also hinted at the development of the third movie during a recent conversation with Variety, expressing her confidence in the project's realization.
